    The unnerving thing is, that could put any manager off, let alone Mike bloody Ashley. If true, I doubt he'd have wanted to up his offer much. Ridiculous.

    We shall see in the next 9 days though <ok> Probably a rather dragging, nervy 9 days. and I miss 6 of them <wah>

    Well I just asked my mate there and apparently Llambias' words when he heard the 12mill request were "Tell him to stay in France".

    I'd presume they will try and reach a compromise though.

    Well yes, even though 12mil is still a good price there'd be a temptation to tell Lyon to stick it just for the sheer cheek!

    But yeah, as you say, I'd imagine they'd try to reach a deal of around 9 or 10, rather than just either give in straight away to 12mil or tell them to shove it.

    Just hope the thought of spending that little bit extra hasn't given Ashley a massive head rush and we actually pull this one off.

    I think this could well be why Pieters was watched tonight. I think we've been priced out of Cissokho. Pieters would still be a good signing though <ok>

    On Wednesday the sky sources said QPR were 'preparing a bid' for Simpson. 5 days on, we've heard nowt. Pinch of salt needed, I think.
