My friend just turned vegan

B12 is found in some soya products and also ín rice and coconut milk. For those who are not following a strict vegetarian diet but want to avoid eating dead animals, eggs also contain it.

 

There is that as well, I agree. I don't think the vegan community are very good with recruiting people to their cause because a large part of it is patronising, whining finger pointing.

There's also quite a bit of bitching within the vegan community, vegan oneupmanship if you like.

You didn't quite get it.
They are not bashed because they are Vegans, they are bashed because they are uppity, self righteous idiots.
The fact that they are vegan is not the important part.
Or maybe it is, I dont know.
Does Veganism breed this kind of thinking? Or do people of that persuasion just tend to veer towards Veganism so they have more "Moral high ground"?
I am not totally sure.

But to be honest, as I have already said, if someone is Vegan, I couldn't give nine ****s. As long as they don't lecture me on animal cruelty and throw it in my face every 20 minutes, then we'll be cool.

Yes I get it. You don't bash vegans until you bash vegans. You talk like they are one homogenous group, which, as Piskie said quite rightly, we would be crucified for if we did for most other groups. See what you've done, you've made me agree with Piskie

 

I can only go based on my own experiences.
I have met three people in my life who claimed to be vegan, and they have all been complete and utter tossers of the highest calibre.
Think Lisa Simpson on speed.

Maybe I have met thousands of vegans, but the majority haven't been ****s and told me about it, along with the mandatory lecture, so maybe you are right.
The best type of vegan, is a person you dont know is vegan.

And all the ones I have met have had that annoying trait of feeling compelled to convert everyone they meet.
Of course they wont all be like that, but Vegans are kind of known for it unfortunately.
The vocal, militant asshats ruin it for everyone.
