I think you will find that Spurly removed your “bet” because it became clear from the context of my posts that I had not fully understood the fact that you were being dodgy. In effect, I had agreed to a completely different bet to the one you had sneakily proposed. That is why the bet was withdrawn . There had been no accord between us. The bet between Pix and me is crystal clear and clearly stands.

Thank you Anyway, yes I did cancel the Betz...but I thought the Betz being cancelled were some new ones being proposed, not those that have been written up already, no siree. Your bet was cancelled and I thought there was some bet being proposed with Piskie and then the expected fallout. Sometimes when the lads and the Pded are going at it....I don't always follow because it's just another 'your mum stinks' kind of argument and I'm too busy dropping some bombs myself for a giggle. That's why on several occasions I have posted something along the lines of 'when you lads have decided, then let me know and I will put it in the OP' why would I say that if it was already in the OP? As a lawyer do you often agree to terms in a contract, then read the terms and realise you ****ed up and then have to back out ? What’s the normal forfeiture for backing out of a contract

Exactly...G4e had worded it in a way that made it look like it was the bet you wanted but it wasn't. Spurs finish above Arsenal and Hiag loses the bet? What kind of supidness is that...G4e tried the same with me and I initially accepted then once I read and re read the bet a few times...I thought hmmm that's not what I said I wanted to bet. It was humourous and clever by G4e...but when all is said and done...it was not the bet I or it seems you was interested in. I ordered Pizza...the guy turned up with some onion rings in a Pizza box. I said 'that's not a ****ing Pizza' he said it is coz it's in a Pizza box...I told him just because you said it's a Pizza and that's a Pizza box...it's still Onion rings. He said 'yeah but.......' At that moment I threw the box at him and slammed the door shut.

I know you think you are being clever, but you ignored my previous exhortation not to get into an argument with me over contract law. You have Ill advisedly ignored that sage advice. In contract law there is the long standing doctrine of frustration. This applies where it is obvious that the contracting parties are mistaken as to the terms of the alleged agreement. Such was clearly the case between us, as is self evident by this current discourse. Regardless, the wager between Pixie and me stands. I’m sure that Spurly will confirm.
