    Sweden though.

    Sweden.

Let's celebrate a world cup without five time champions Italy, as if it wasn't going to be ****e enough as it is.

To be honest this is a good thing, it's a sign that the rest of the world are actually getting good at football.

Let's not forget Argentina struggled to qualify too.

Its just a sign of the times, we don't live in a world anymore where there are only 6 or 7 good footballing nations. The smaller country's are all getting better, and this is why we are seeing the historically bigger sides missing out, or struggling through.

It won't be long until we get a so called lesser side win the WC.

    Four you mean?

Agree though it's a shame that they won't be there, will be strange.

    Are we really that bad?

Is it really that much of a shame, that we will miss out on the attacking talent of Immobile and Gabiadinni. How will the WC cope without such attacking flair <laugh>

Or is it the Geriatric back line that we are missing out on <laugh>

It does make you laugh though that the best player in Serie A this season Lorenzo Insigne doesn't even get a minutes action tonight. You honestly couldn't make it up.

In all honestly though, the World Cup really isn't missing out on a lot. Serie A is admittedly getting back to its former glory's, but a lot of the top players are from abroad.

I know what you mean but you want all the big nations there imo. Never mind anyway.

    Agree it's strange about Insigne.

It's just a huge embarrassment for the Italians in all honesty. De Rossi on the bench even telling the coaching staff to bring on Insigne.

    That's a shocker! <laugh>

Couldn't give a toss that they've not qualified. I doubt next June I'll be sat there thinking damn, I wish Italy was here!

You might when you realise the ****e who have got in instead!

Just seems odd that they won't be There, especially in what is now a bloated competition full of teams that just make up the numbers.

Did think they one they last won was their fifth for some reason. Big sorry about that, well done all in checking Google before correcting me, awesome stuff. <applause>

    <ok>

The ****e who'll be there next all qualified by right. Italy didn't like dozens of others.

They're a poor team at the minute so I won't be missing them.

    True enough.

Once England are out after the group stages along with all the other gash we won't miss them either.

I'll also lose interest once we're out.

I may watch the final but that'll be it.

    Semi's and the final.

They've overextended the thing to allow the likes of Burkina Faso and New Zealand a shot at it. Utterly pointless. It's the world cup equivalent to the BBC giving up it's front page sport headlines to women's football, nobody is remotely interested but we're forced to look at it.

I’ll watch every game I can. It’s still a World Cup and matches will be at a reasonable time.
