I drop that bomb on Not606 every year on the Xmas thread <rofl>

You know what I find weird...how so many things get banned left, right and centre nowadays yet no one has banned Santa...if there ever was a way of some **** getting his kicks it would be to set up a Santas grotto in the middle of the town centre...where every dumb ' I love my kids the bestest' mum will go and plonk her kid on his fat sweaty laps.

I know <laugh>. I had a mate, who worked in pound stretcher or something as a student. Weighed about 6 stone on a good day. He was Santa during Xmas and the whole grotto thing

He is my mate and I wouldn't let him in my house never mind have kids bouncing on his knee

****ing hate going into town and the obese excuses for mothers screaming "keanu" or "Brittany" all lined up so kid can ask Santa for a segway or something that they haven't a hope in hell of getting.

Can see on Xmas morning as little keanu opens his present to find a pirate set asking " mummy why didnt i get a segway?"

    " Santa says you've been a ****"

Edit: just though when little keanu grows up can see him lamping a Santa in a mall, pissed and shouting "where's my segway? You bin laden looking motherfucker"

Back in the day I used to do a "faith with fan" feature every Friday on GC

<laugh> used to get some mental discussions. Especially with @PleaseNotPoll

Used to keep them going for days, citing some really dodgy sites etc

Mods spoilt it in the end. Think they thought it was legit<laugh>

I can't force my family into atheism, nor can I sit there like a sad grump either so I join in with their festivities and mock the stupid bits.

Santa owns Xmas anyway, not Jesus.

I actually kicked a guy out my house once for being a grump.

It was one of those "we are having a get together to celebrate and although I know you don't follow or believe I wanted to extend the invite to you as you're a mate, but I understand if you don't want to come, just didn't want to exclude you"

He came and whinged. What's the point of this , that's a bit daft etc. I just opened the door and said bye. He did protest but I told him do one

    We are still mates

My boys have grown up and make a ton of money . They get a few stocking stuffers and me and my wife buy each other a meager gift . 75% of what we spend on gifts and food go to a women' s shelter and a young adult charity ( Streets Alive ) . Since we've done this 5 or six years ago , we've had our best Christmasses

Me and charities don't get along anymore but I used to do similar. Refuse now yo give to established charities

Best method for me before the kids was me and the Mrs save a set amount throughout the year and then just have a blow out for eid

It was great back in the day of stereo systems etc because instead of buying a cheapo ish one we could blow £500 on a Sony and it was for both of us with a new TV etc

Besides giving money for our two World Vision " kids , I don't give money . This year me and my wife have given about 2,000 articles of clothing to these charities , half of them new . I buy super cheap when I buy and do what I do best when I don't buy ... I make a strong case when I beg people at garage sales and people I know .. And I only take quality articles

My wife is Jewish and apparently it's Christmas every Saturday for her but she picks her own gifts and uses my credit card to complete each festive transaction.

If you've been waving your wallet around at her to woo her back in the day..you've only got yourself to blame Brother Tel.
