Pretty sure he wouldn't have to fly commercial though. Private plane <whistle>, gotta be a 2hr flight max.
And rough gangs of sheep and male voice choirs to avoid on the way

Apart from his first managerial role with his Portuguese club he's managed three of the world's richest clubs, it follows that he'd collect trophies when he could pay the sort of transfer fees and wages that only the richest clubs can afford, if for instance he hadn't got the Man U job and had gone to Everton would he(working with the blues budget)collect trophies so easily?
Of course not, doesn't make him a bad manager/coach but it shows the limits of his capability.

Well I’m not sure many managers collect trophies with such regularity without cash backing

Agreed, but the likes of Mourinho and his ilk would no doubt struggle like most other managers do at clubs outside of Real's and Utd's financial power, he's good at what he does where he does it but would be as vulnerable as any manager at a lesser club, like I say, his type of management/coaching is only potent at BIG clubs, unless he proves otherwise from when he eventually walks or is sacked by man u.

He earned that due to what he did in Portugal. Then delivered what modern owners want, and keeps doing so

I would go as far to say he earnt that with Inter too. He played anti football with them but he beat all the top teams that year to win the CL with them when Inter had 0 pedigree in that competition.

    ZERO????

    cmon bobby wow.

    08/09
    League winners
last 16 under mancini lost to man utd who went to final

    07/08
    league winners
last 16 under mancini (we beat them)

    06/07
    league winners
last 16 under mancini lost to valencia... who then lost to cheslea

    05/06
    league winners
QF under mancini lost to villareal on away goals.

    04/05
    3rd in league
QF, lost to AC who got to that famous final

    Whats the common here?

    1. they are in dominant position at home
    2. They have a CL pedigree, a long history in comp but losing in knockouts
    3. they have roberto mancini as manager

so..... IF you are telling me that sides had no pedigree.... sorry bobby. thats just not that case. They were all set up there for mourinho. all he needed to do was grow the grass long at the san siro and get past barca.

They have been and are rubbish in the CL and have long been rubbish in the CL. Before Mourinho the best they had done was a CL Semi in god knows how many years. This is their CL record. There was no progress of Inter doing well in the CL

    upload_2017-11-13_18-22-10.png

As for them winning the Serie A when Jose took over it was akin to Celtic winning the league. Juve were down and out and AC had their money turned off by berlusconi.

edit: Whoops didn't realise you put down what they did. Basically what you are saying is that they were the Arsenal of the CL but Mourinho dragged them to victory. Thanks

Jose Mourinho is a cheque book manager:
Manchester United are prepared to pay £177m to sign Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio, 21. (Don Balon - in Spanish)

I do not think he will achieve much without money. To prove himself he needs to go to a place like Stoke, Leicester, Wet Ham with limited resources.

That's just silly though. A bit like saying Alan Sugar should sell all of his businesses and start running a corner shop to prove himself as a businessman.

and that tbale is "rubbish" in the CL........ seriously? you think last 8 of CL is rubbish and then being in last 16 and held back my mancini... right ok....

for the record... being in knockouts in CL is actually doing pretty well. you are 3 rounds from the final.

cmon bobby... seriously... you said no predigree and now you are saying no progress.

My friend quite different, Alan Sugar likes to run a going concern business. Mourinho's objective is not about profit:emoticon-0149-no:.

It’s easy to make money again after being a hit. Especially if you worked your way from the bottom like Sugar and Jose

Not a very good analogy there because if Alan Sugar did what you say, in all likelihood he would be very successful because he's proven he can make it from the bottom and work his way up. Mourinho - not so much.
