Well that headline was from 2009 If you look at this one http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/567815/Farmers-hail-landmark-end-hated-EU-milk-quotas You see that the hated EU quotas were banned and farmers hail the end of quotas. Only reading between the lines of EU bashing express you see that 'The UK's National Farmer’s Union also offered a caution that milk prices could fall if increased milk production wasn’t carefully managed.' And if you want to see why quotas may have to return just check out the current price of butter.
What did I twist? Explain why we would give pets free movement but not people. I made the logical response to the point raised. The deal will need to be done in its entirety therefore no one thing is more important than anything else. We will be asked to take it or leave it when Davis has finished ****ing about.
Ah yes found it now and it is a little selective in it's context. Michel Barnier has said that the collapse of trade talks is a "real possibility" and warned it could affect the ability of "dogs and cats to cross the Channel". http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...s-will-barred-taking-pets-continent-event-no/ Fact checked here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-41969672 But as for your point about shouldn't he be discussing more important things here's where the context comes in; he was speaking to a french newspaper and he discusses how talks are going on the important points for the EU; Rights of Europeans and UK citizens in Europe, Northern Ireland, The Divorce Bill. He then gets asked a question about The lack of agreement, the "no deal", is more and more openly evoked in London ... and in his reply explaining that a no deal brexit would have consequences on many domains he uses the example of pets after a larger one of planes 'Without agreement, it would fall into the common law regime of the World Trade Organization, with relations similar to those we have with China. A failure of the negotiations would have consequences on multiple domains, just on the ability of British planes to land in Europe, the United Kingdom leaving the single sky, or on dogs and cats to cross the Channel! In Europe, everything is integrated because we have common standards: that seems to have been forgotten.' http://www.lejdd.fr/international/u...se-preparer-a-une-absence-daccord-3489740?utm
I find it's always good to learn new things but when it comes to The Telegraph I've known for a long that time that you always have to read between the lines and try and find the context of the article. Incidentally the chief-architect of this coverage, Boris Johnson having another of his jolly japes https://www.newstatesman.com/politi...-myths-and-our-disgraceful-press-followed-his
John Redwood when he's being a politician to the electorate; Hard Brexit (no deal style). But his advice when he's a chief global strategist to investors; Pull money out of Britain. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/nov/13/labour-accuses-john-redwood-of-talking-britain-down https://www.forbes.com/sites/france...-take-their-money-out-of-the-uk/#46ec14424c1e
And good news for hard Brexiteers according to the Express James Dyson has come up with a brilliant argument for no deal Brexit. And he said: “There is fantastic opportunity outside Europe, there is an opportunity within in Europe, but Europe is the slowest growing area in the world, all the other areas are much fast growing.” http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/87...est-EU-Theresa-May-BBC-Andrew-Marr-Show-video But strangely the Express makes no mention of the what the fantastic oppurtinity will be - the chance to fire people easier and pay less tax. http://metro.co.uk/2017/11/12/james-dyson-wants-to-make-it-easier-to-hire-and-fire-people-7073226/
This the same Sir James Dyson that said in yesterday’s papers that leaving the eu is good because it will be much easier to sack people..
I am still blown away that we can ban free movement of people but little Englanders are outraged that the eu would then want to look at ending free movement of dogs and cats.
No need. I have a clear understanding of the parallel you were drawing... even chesh ain’t stupid enough to be trying to defend that effort of yours.
Ah gotcha - you are now saying that the current price of butter is all because the EU lifted the milk quotas that were crippling the dairy industry? Despite being warned of the consequences, they did it anyway. Surprise, surprise, the greedy farmers flooded the markets with milk Don't fret though - the EU soon sorted it out and not by reinttroducing quota's but by paying the farmers to reduce production. I kid you not. & it cost the taxpayer 150 million euro's. Sooner we are put of this corrupt useless organization the better! Bring it on again
Looks like Italy may join others in exiting the EU, and why wouldn't they, the worm is slowly turning. Looks like the EU army is dwindling before it even gets started. http://thisisengland.info/2017/11/14/will-never-slaves-italy-crisis-thousands-demand-exit-eu-mafia/
The penny finally starting to drop, the only vote will be how we leave not if,already done that vote and remain lost. The only bit they forgot to add was suck it up remain.
