Duffy is very good stand and get rid defender. Will win everything in the air and his positional play is pretty decent as well. On the ball he’s meh, but that’s what dunk does for Brighton instead.

I could see Duffy easily playing for mid table Prem team. Dunk could go one better I think, he’s the better out of the 2 but all about partnerships.

    Yeah. functional type.player.

like the rest of the Ireland team. O'Neill seems to want those types.

Nothing against the other Home nations teams (well maybe the bitter Scots and the big headed Welsh relying on Bale) but the fact that only England have qualified shows how easy it has become to qualify for the Euros (which Scotland were too **** to even do) and frankly that last summers achievements should be put in perspective. And last summer England were seen as an utter failure to boot.

Also highlights the absurdity of Fifa rankings.

Am I the only one that’s not getting the big hype over loftus-cheek? I watched the Germany game and yeah he was half decent but the praise seems to be some what over the top.

Didnt really do anything spectacular and didn’t rewlly get that involved for large parts of the game?

He got the ball and when he did he would turn and move/pass forward. It’s a refresher no change from the conservative norm.

Just the media agenda regarding Chelsea "producing" lots of youth but never giving them a chance

He is a young lad on his England debut against the World Champions, he started solid and safe but grew into it as the game progressed and ended up controlling the attacking midfield.

Most of the debutants did well and deserve further games. I am fed up with people thinking their place is safe so claiming injury to miss friendlies, that, or thinking they are too good to play a friendly against Germany or Brazil.

Too many big clubs actively demand it from English players while their South American stars turn up and play for their clubs.

England has been too cosy for too long with the utds and the rest. Imo in the olden days a player faking injury like say sterling etc would be dropped and not seen for 2 years.

Imo if the fa organise two premier friendlies expecting 90k fans in each to pay the bills for world cup bonuses and judt about everywhere cries off something is badly badly wrong

I can't speak from lfc experience, our players have turned up when it was adversely affecting them time after time

Be honest, which United players haven't (for England), the only player people point to is Giggs for Wales but they tend to ignore the fact he suffered problems with his hamstrings at the time and also missed many games for the club. He got better as he aged and missed less games for both club and country but that doesn't suit the agenda of most.
Did you see the strapping on Jones thigh on Thursday?

Yeah Jones is a moron :)

I don't really care tbh.... Giggs is ancient history, his recovery to play the weekend after for Utd was legendary.

The issue is today and I think I could predict who will be fit this weekend now... There's at least 7 who will start of the "injured"
