Just tried to put Heavenward on buy Wolf Alice. Saw them at a sold out Manchester Apollo last night and it was undoubtedly the best gig I’ve ever been to. And I bought my first single in 1963 so I’ve been to a few.
Just watched this on BBC4 tonight - many of you may have already watched it, but if not catch it on BBC iPlayer. Worth a watch...fits tonight's theme methinks... Edit: No politics ta Can be found on YouTube...in multi parts unfortunately... https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Storyville How the Beatles Rocked the Kremlin
Sorry SSS, I feel compelled to re-post with both parts (1 & 2) for historical integrity purposes . No offence intended. Brilliant band they were...few live recordings of them playing both parts seem to exist mind, if any.
Hard not to bribgnpolitics into it as politics is what this is about. Anyway, on Sky Arts tonight, 10pm our time, there is a programme on about the part rock and roll played in the downfall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of communism. If you haven't got Sky you can download this https://www.mobdrotips.com/. Scroll down under channels to SkyArts2.
Cheers Barca...unfortunately no live Sky access, but will try your link suggestion..sounds interesting. Summat to look forward to after the Denmark-Ireland match, which I do get live.
If you do get it working OK there is another good one on Sky Arts on Friday. Again 10pm our time. It is about the Whisky A Go Go in LosAngeles and includes performances from Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix and, best of all, for me, Janis Joplin.
Brilliant. Cheers. Sounds like Sky Arts is a tremendous channel. Must look into it subscription-wise.
