He's claiming that he was so drunk he can't remember the incident....entirely possible....IF it was a one off incident. We shall see. A lot of people must be quaking in their boots....some because they have behaved badly/criminally and some because the line for sexual assault is being redrawn. Be honest....I bet every one of you has got a bit lary whilst drunk or because you misread signals....if you backed off when put right, would you like to try and defend an assault charge decades later. The pool is getting muddied.....glad I don't have to investigate it.
From the sheer number of allegations coming forward it seems like its unlikely that it was a one off incident. Steven Seagal and Louis CK the latest to be accused. Totally agree about the lines being re-drawn. Obviously not acceptable in todays society but back then it appears it was the "norm" and think there will be a lot more accusations over the coming months/years.
Alluded to this before, but Spacey was well known as having predatory instincts and wandering hands within entertainment circles. None of this is a surprise to anyone who has worked close to these industries.
Robert Lindsay says he crossed Weinstein once and years later was thrown off a film after Weinstein got involved. He said not a man to cross and Lindsay went on to say that no one should blame women for not coming forward as acting is so precarious a profession that you can't afford to make enemies. And it is the men in power to blame.

Hey, a film about Australia life that I might actually like. Guy Pierce would certainly raise the overall quality enough to make it worth taking the chance.
Yes, I read your post. It did come as a surprise and disappointment to me. As I've said, I like the guy and the actor. He was sexually abused by his father as a kid, and I can understand how difficult that is to overcome. He's getting help, and that can only be good. Is he going to face charges.? I don't know.
Another actor, this time British, who I've always respected. If he was going to make any comment then that's the sort of thing I'd expect from him. Good comment.
And he is absolutely right. I had a situation I needed to ‘manage’ with an old-school producer acting inappropriately toward Fable when she was 17. Suffice to say he won’t be trying that approach again in a hurry if he has any sense.
Yeah, she’s just in the process of putting the album together. The quietness is intentional. Big relaunch & tour early next year with the album.
Sigma 5. What is it.? Sigma 5 is a measure of how confident scientists feel their results are. If experiments show results to a 5 sigma confidence level, that means if the results were due to chance and the experiment was repeated 3.5 million times then it would be expected to see the strength of conclusion in the result no more than once. Today it was announced that the LENR E-Cat Quark X prototype has reached Sigma 5. A demonstration of the new energy technology is coming late this month. This one is aimed at huge installations like power stations, purely because domestic appliances require separate safety certificates. One thing at a time. Sadly it has taken nearly 30 years since Fleischmann & Pons found something fundamental in nuclear energy, and they were so roundly condemned that nobody would risk their careers to research a very real phenomenon in physics. Since then pretty much only retired scientists with an interest, or open mind, and engineers (who simply don't care whether scientists think something is possible or not) have struggled on nothing budgets to research this energy source. Now we enter the stage of 'show us what engine you've got under that bonnet'. For example, that took decades for John Harrison to have his sea clock accepted as valid, and they still wanted to nick the technology off him without due payment. That isn't going to happen any less painfully when the global economy is about to use another commodity over oil.
