But research commissioned by the council found that, since the Brexit vote, staffing levels for farms had dropped to 65 per cent of what would normally be required.

5 years ago they didn't moan because they didn't have to but strangely it seems if you tell people they are not wanted, not appreciated and give them no security for their future then they stop coming. Well done Brexit victory, now enjoy the rewards of that victory.

Now here's a breakdown of the 60,000 people

    Total 62,100
    Student 15,200
    Looking After Family/Home 10,000
    Long-Term Sick 18,000
    Retired 11,000
    Other 7,200

    Wants A Job 16,300
Does Not Want A Job 45,800

16,300 people want a job - it doesn't mean they are suitable or able for farming work or match the seasonal demands of farming.

That lack of understanding of nuance is why people voted for Brexit and that's why we are where we are now - rotting.

I find it quite funny how the gullible take it all in.
In the space of 2 weeks the doom mongers have gone from "Could rot in fields" to "will rot in fields" to "are rotting in fileds"
Surely the fact that the number of immigrants coming to the UK is still "on the rise" should ring alarm bells even with the most gullible - if brains were to engage, you really wouldn't post this nonsense <laugh>

Show me one story of a farmer whose crops are rotting <laugh>

Do you want to go back to a diet of root vegetables and cabbage?
I quite like the year round supply of whatever food I want.

Most of them trade in a bloc and tariff free with their nearest neighbours and biggest markets, now if you want to be specific which countries you thinking of?
