England: Pickford, Trippier, Rose, Jones, Stones, Maguire, Livermore, Dier (capt), Vardy, Loftus-Cheek, Abraham.

Germany: Ter Stegen, Hummels, Halstenberg, Rudiger, Ginter, Ozil, Gundogan, Draxler, Kimmich, Sane, Werner.

Let's just repeat that England line up.

Pickford... not bad but not ready for this
    Trippier... prob deserves a go.
    Maguire.. seriously?
    Livermore.. joke.
Lotus cheek.... wow... rubbish how he gets a game.
    Abraham... just... ridiculous.

England players who will all play next weekend for their clubs should be ashamed.

Subs.. Jack cork.... that's how bad it's got...

The gurner is down and out again...... eeyore himself is injured and so Joe Gomez makes his England debut.

Can't wait to see how injured Jones is. He went off for Utd recently and was the only committed England player cos he wanted to secure a wc slot. His reward is making his injury worse. This will be used as excuse for the rest of the layabouts

Poor fare second half but 0-0 draw and England had chances yo ain't.

It was a proper game first half. Lingers misses badly and Abraham should have scored first half.

I thought it was much more watchable than the dross served up recently by England. Probably because Germany came out and played football. A few of the young lads played well and probably into the squad.

Probably because it wasn't a competitive game?
As soon as the pressure is on, expect to see the same old line-up playing the same old way.

Players like Trippier, Pickford, RLC and Abraham offer great alternatives to the senior players who constantly let England down

Maybe, but I still expect to see a more familiar line-up as soon as the serious stuff starts.

Unfortunately, you are right. That said there are a few younger lads that should now keep the more established players on their toes. I thought RLC was excellent in a position that we've struggled in and while one game doesn't tell us anything, he may well have played himself into the squad last night.

They aren't good enough though, as if a team with Abraham up top & a back 3 of Jones, Maguire & Stones is going to be winning anything, anytime soon.

And as @saintKlopp says, all England managers have had this experimental phase in friendlies, once the tournament start they revert to picking the same old formations and players as the previous manager and act surprised when it goes wrong.

Unless they have a chance at a tournament how can you say they will fail.

We have shown that the technical ability of the younger players is improving and they are not carrying the failure of previous flops like the senior And allegedly superior players

pickford v hart v Forester v butland. pick one.

    trippier v walker?

    Abraham's v kane????

vardy led the line yesterday too.

like.... dunno but I don't see a tournament team there.

I do see a lot of cheeky arses senior players who have not a damned thing wrong with them say at home while.england arranged premier friendlies to will Wembley in order to pay their massive wc bonuses.

You could say that about any player.

I don't think the technical ability of your players is improving at all, look back 10-15 years you had the likes of Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard & Hargreaves as midfield options. Now you have Henderson, Loftus Cheek & Dier <laugh>
