As other have pointed out he has given nothing away, just juggled the figures so he gives with one hand and takes it away with the other. Just a stalling tactic as he is trying to take the sting out of the situation.
After what I and many others thought was a good start it went steadily downhill with one incomprehensible decision or statement after another. They have asked for all they get

I see the old man is now insisting on an apology for the alleged use of the word "pirates" as a prerequisite for talks with the council. I hope supporters groups will therefore insist on their own apology from the Allams before agreeing to any meetings for being called hooligans who can die when they want. The Allams expect apologies but are not prepared to apologise themselves.
But there are only 300 of us against him. The others are asking him to attend games so they can thank him. Makes you wonder why he doesn't and bask in the adulation of 98% of the adoring crowd.

I don't trust a word he says. He is clearly trying to pull the wool over our eyes. He has slowly but surely decimated this club and made fans fight against each other. He has wasted the greatest opportunity in our clubs history to build this club up, build our facilities and make the most of our potential. Instead we have had a great ten years in terms of football but absolutely nothing to show for it. My boycott will continue until they leave, however, those who protested have done an excellent job. Now isn't the time to stop that pressure.
You should come out with me this afty john I could explain it better over a pint. For whatever reason he's come out with this. He won't admit it but he's acknowledging there's a problem. It's like Northern Ireland peace process innit. We will never sit down with them... could be cos of the queen. Could be cos new owners don't want to take over while there is discord. Could be he just doesn't like the escalating aggravation. Could be other reasons. The only one who is going to look a tool out of this is him. His concession on concessions is rubbish. He says he wants a meeting. He doesn't have the upper hand at all his stance is laughable. Go into any meeting and the stress balls will be thrown at every game until concessions are properly in place. The badge and the gate etc aren't important. Concessions are paramount and a fight that can be won.
I think it's now time to forgive and forget. Everyone should sit around a campfire and hug it out. All this hate is not good for anyone.
