I thought the England goal keeper had a great name (forgot his name now)

Mass given MOTM. Aussies should have killed it off. So many chances, so few goals. Sound familiar?

Seriously think Pickford is good enough to keep his place. Loftus-Cheek should make the squad for Russia on this showing. One or two of the regulars who don't always shine should be very worried, the youngsters are coming. I hope Southgate is brave enough to weild the axe next year...

I think he will give them a chance, he knows them from before, and if England are to developed bring them on now, no one expects us to do well in Russia but 4 years later in England ( maybe) who knows

Nice 1-0 win for the Swedes. Dirty bastards though, that is if you believe how many facially injuries the Italians suffered during the match. In the first minute they had a player rolling about on the ground holding his face in agony for absolutely no reason. The ref bought it and booked Berg. For the rest of the game they tried on several occassions to get him sent off, but the ref wised up.
I wouldn't want to watch a boxing match with two Italians...

I’ve seen plenty of films where Swedes have taken one to the face so don’t mind if they’re dishing it out too.

Can't blame them. It's all about the result.

Still can’t help hoping it backfires on them.

Over two legs it makes sense against a superior team. Playing ok so far from what I’ve seen.

Really? I thought you'd have been rooting for the Irish?

Why? The Danes have given me much more fun in footballing terms, although a lot of it was a long time ago. Pretty neutral overall, may the best team win.

Certainly ain't pretty and as the Irish commentator said when Sisto missed a sitter "let's all say 3 hail Mary's".....

Ireland will be quite happy to go in at half time all square thanks to 3 decent stops by Randolph and a missed sitter. Ireland not really offering anything going forward but will be pleased to sense a bit of frustration building within the Danish side and support......

Have to say what a fine stadium it is.......

Great result for Ireland, down to a shoot out in Dublin.
