Do you remember us playing Leeds in L1? ****s were giving it large and calling us a pub team, I think we was about 3-0 up by half-time
Nah wasn't that our first year in league one too? Did they get a couple back and you win 3-2? If so pretty sure that was a couple of weeks before the game against us you won which I spoke about earlier... I'll never forget our home game against you that season, we won 4-1 and it was the first time we got out of minus points in the season... remember us all singing "We're not minus anymore!" and "We've got points, we've got points, we've points!"
Yeah that's it 3-2, we held on for the victory, I knew some Leeds fans who had got in the home end, I turned round to give them some **** at the final whistle and they had gone I'm sure you are right, Southampton some weeks after that...we did all the hard work then ****ed it up. Stimmo was in charge of us then if memory serves me right.
tbh i haven't looked at the Championship table for a couple of weeks, guessing your boys must still be down there? Look at Blackburn now, and they are struggling to make any outstanding impact. Wigan tend to be the most consistent but then are like a yoyo between out two leagues. Overall I think over the seasons, Bradford have been the most consistent performing team but always seem to miss out.
Stimmo being Mark Stimson? Rings a bell. **** knows who you played on the final day, but you can imagine the fun I had with it after you went down following taking a week of ****e and "We'll do you down here as well next season" - especially as you celebrated it a week early
...on the slippery slope to the conference before ending up in the football wasteland that is the Scottish Premiership ...
Yeah Stimmo is Stimson. Famous for not winning away. It was Wycombe. All the odds were in our favour, about five other teams had to win, they all won and we got stuffed.
That's it yeah I remember now. Cos after he calmed down my Step Dad said you can't expect to stay up without winning a single away game.
Didn't realise you had that recently Comm, when was that? When we went down in 2009 it was the first time in over 50 years
National League these days. Some decent teams in there this season, drop down to that league and your be a long tie climbing back out again. Probably tougher than L2 and lower half of L1.
