Booze? Nah mate I'm at work.

Just pointing out that you beat us on the penultimate day and believing it had saved you invaded the pitch... only to go down a week later anyway... what I meant by your lot getting up hopes up and then dashing them again.

Like I say I've been to loads of your games, mainly away and only once at Priestfield, most were around the era you had Paul Shaw in your team?

You still got the temporary stand at Priestfield?

Yeah the stand is still there, but we try and accomodate travelling support in the GRS from time to time. For the Cup game against Orient last week, we closed the scaffolding and stuck the 800 in the GRS, although it doesn't go down with STH that side.

GRS was where I sat when I went there but the Rainham end of it. Like I say was mainly aways I done with you as my Step Dad was obviously exiled down here.

Most recently was a cracking FA Cup tie at Bournemouth which was a 3-3 draw with you lot 3-1 down with 10 to go. Was an absolute screamer in it too, will try to find it in a sec.

<laugh> I don't support them, but don't mind seeing them doing well for my dear Nans sake bless her heart. Never really understood that rivalry and actually thought my step dad was joking until I went to game and heard you lot singing loads of songs about them <laugh>

Normally I would reply that they're still better than you, but that's not actually true at the moment... unusually :)

That's the Bournemouth game, you're first goal I remember clear as day... their first one wasn't bad either actually.

Off there again in a few weeks but with Saints for the first time.

The rivalry stems from the late 70's and early 80's. supporters try to put a timescale of the mid 80's. I was at their ground that season, bunch of them decided to get in the Gills supporters, stupid pricks didn't know what to do when I didn't run and wanted to fight <laugh>

Wasn't it over a dodgy (at best) ref performance too? Step Dad convinced there was a fix against you lot one year where the ref sent off a couple of your players for **** all.

So you remember when the RE took up part of the GRS?

Didn't realise fella, soz, you got to be genuine if you remember that.

Depends who you talk too, my personal opinion the rivalry went back further, could never really put an exact time on it, although some will. But i suppose at best around 84.

The Town End (BMS these days) and Rainham End used to join with a walk way at the back of the GRS. It eventually got closed for obvious reasons, but until redevelopment the RE was also about 1/4 of the GRS (Standing them days).

Not sure about the Rainham taking up part of Gordon Road... But I was definitely sat that end of the GRS with the Rainham just to my right as I remember asking him why the **** we didn't get tickets in the Rainham end <doh>

Must have been early to mid 2000s so think they were seperate stands, all seater anyway. Funnily enough can't remember the opposition but pretty sure you lost.

Mainly aways I went to, Brentford, Bournemouth etc. We actually went to Brentford on a Bank Holiday and then up to Coventry to watch Saints in a late kick off... Mum wasn't best pleased about wasting her BH with 2 football matches and travelling half way up the country <laugh>

Most of them were when players like Shaw, Hessenthaler (later became manager i think?), Perpeutini (sp?) and Brown in goal. Also remember a young Nyron Nosworthy but that might have been later.

Best game I went to was at the Withdean. You had 2 men sent off and won 4-2. Shaw got a brace... **** ground, great match <laugh>

We are ****ing ****e these days, I've always argued and still do, the Championship years has been a noose around our neck ever since. Hessenthaler had a few spells as manager, one was a bad experience, I seriously thought some supporters were ready to lynch him after a Dover Cup game, just young lads but Scally took a load of ****e too, I think the old bill got called in. Next time as member of the gang of four, regained much pride for that.

Worst one was Peter Taylor, I cannot bear the man, we had him back recently, I nearly had a ****ing melt down when i found out - at least he is rid again.

    Yeah I'm only 26 <laugh>

I saw you get relegated at Forest (who were already down) too in 2005... followed by seeing Saints relegated from the PL a week later <laugh>

Not many people have witnessed 2 relegations in a week <doh>
