Some real positives in that first half for England. Loftus-Cheek has looked really good, as have Pickford and Stones. England playing the 5-3-2 well and looking quite good in possession at times. Jones did well before his usual injury. Chelsea reserve Rudiger is a dirty ****er!!
He got called up to the England squad when more injuries ruled players out and the twat declined. He said he hadn't played enough football. Complete knob!! He should want to crawl over broken glass to play for his Country.
Agree on Stones (not watching the game). But I do think that Guardiola is one of those managers who does actually improve players, and sticks by them even when they are having hard times if he sees the potential, like he did with Stones last season.
A good performance from England tonight against the No1 Nation in the World. Both teams had players missing, but England matched the Germans at times with good spells of passing. Non-regular positives for me: Pickford, Loftus-Cheek, Maguire and to a lesser extent Livermore. Cork, all be it for a short time looked out of his depth. Of the regulars I thought Dier and Stones were excellent.
superb display from Loftus-Cheek, nonchalant and don't think he lost possession or a misplaced pass once tonight
happened with Phil Parkes, turned down a chance to play for England in the US. Had just got married and thought it be better to sort the house and missus out first. Was never considered again
