Obsessively intellectual, immersed in a particular subject to the detriment of their social interaction. Lacking social skills and interests outside of their subject range.

I'm sure. I was just giving one definition of a nerd.
I'm sure nerds are often nice people - just a bit, well... nerdy.

If he is a competent scientist and you buy him a Carling, he will probably send it away to be analysed and once he gets the results back tell you

Good band on in the cheese yesterday afternoon.Bunch of guys even older than me. When they were setting up, I told one of them about the Doobies / Dan concert I'd been to. All 6 of them were green with envy, but they still couldn't play any <laugh> They were competent, though.

Quite an attractive older woman came in on her own. She told me that the first time she'd come in, she got talking to me and eventually left crying with laughter. I asked i I was drunk. she answered in the affirmative. I asked if Denise was behind the bar and she was. SAMBUCA <laugh> She said she'd be coming back in. We shall see. A little closer than Gina <ok>

Denise i thought ****ed off back to newkie and left you to the tender mercies of a new crowd?

then did you ask yourself if you were drunk or did you ask her is she though you were drunk?
