...is the subject of 'Profile' on Radio 4 today.

I heard it early doors, and it's on again at 5.40 pm.

    She's quite a woman.

She's back on the bbc website again complaining about her treatment from other England players.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41915005

Although I think her stance with mark Sampson was probably justified in that she needed to tell her story to the press to get justice, what she has done since just appears to be a prolonged, drawn out need to keep her story running in the public eye. She is now saying that she didn't want her story to be a public issue, but she sure has a funny way of showing it.
Or maybe she just has an over eager publicist that she is listening to, too much.
She also said that her issue would have been treated more seriously if the comments made against her were homophobic. I think the opposite is true. There is clearly a problem with homophobia in football and nothing appears to get done about it, hence no openly gay footballers (in the men's game at least).
Although probably badly treated by her manager and the fa, she is also possibly a right pain in the back side too.

Personally, and IMO, she probably is a pain in the arse to the FA and I am sure they wish they had not taken her on in the way that they did, and tried to quieten her by this payment. I honestly believe that Sampson was running the team, by, if you didn't do as he said, you fell out of favour. I am sure the rest of the team will now find it difficult to approach Aluko now, because many of them looked to back Sampson, the celebration of the first goal after this allegations had been brought out clearly showed that.

It only stuck me the other day how this FA situation had now died down, and I am sure the ****ers there were happy that was the case, and I for one congratulate her for keep bring it back into the public domain..

I feel the same way. She's constantly in the news and it seems like there doesn't even need to be a development in the story for it come up again and again. Thinking about how some stories get such little coverage (for example, people all over the country still don't understand what's going on with the Allams at City after 4 years of it.) Yet Aluko is still being given all this screentime to winge about her former team mates. I think if I got £80k in my back pocket on the condition that someone gets to call me a nasty name I'd be pretty satisfied with the deal overall.

The bit about homophobia is baffling. Is she saying race issues aren't taken as seriously? What planet is she on?

I don't believe any of them come out of this fiasco with any real credit. That includes Aluko.

Am I the only one who doesn't really care anymore?

Do I want anyone sacked from the FA? Not really..... Do I want to see anymore headlines on BBC sport about it? Definitely not.

I'm really not that fussed and I am surprised who much airtime and newspaper columns this whole saga has got. It's boring.

I think you could just about justify her actions up until this point, I didn't necessarily agree with them but they were understandable. However, this interview crosses the line from fighting that perceived injustice to causing trouble for the sake of attention.

Publicly calling out your team mates for not supporting you is the quickest way to isolate yourself further from the group. Whilst claiming you didn't want it to be a public matter and then doing extra interviews after the whole thing has finished is irony at its finest.

She needs to know when to quit, either she's loving the infamy or someone is giving her poor advice.

I think that's the view of the majority, but she seems determine to keep it alive.

Stuff happened, people were rightly/wrongly punished, she got a nice pay out and the FA showed themselves to be incompetent once again, that should be the end of it.

Is there a public interest in women's football or women's cricket?

    Not really, no.

Just the BBC pushing their equality agenda.

Coming soon: transgender football and cricket.

I think there is maybe a misunderstanding of her intentions here, this for me is all about criticising what has gone on in the FA. They need to be brought to account for what has gone on, and I think she just wants to keep this in the public eye. I agree she does come over as a bit of a clever pants, but someone needs to not let this debacle at the FA get swept under the carpet.

I'm not sure attacking her team mates helps highlight the shortcomings of the FA.

Well, I watched the game when virtually the whole team ran over to Sampson and hugged him, which at the time must have felt a slap in the face for Aluko. I can remember feeling rather uneasy about the over zealous celebration. I said at the time, that these girls that did that would find it difficult to face Aluko in the future, and so it is proving.

Its not a crime to prefer one colleague to another, they obviously wanted to support Sampson and not Aluko, they are free to make that choice. Aluko should respect that decision, if she wants to reintegrate with the team then she should put it in the past and move on.

She can feel upset or betrayed that they didn't support her but that doesn't make the other players wrong it just means Aluko overestimated what she meant to them in the first place.

Wow - a post that slams another poster as racist and phrased in the most condescending way possible. Well done.
