Seems to me the monetary and tax system is designed by the rich for the rich. Don't assume any 'extra' tax going back into the system will be fed through to deserving causes like nurses, teachers, NHS etc. It is highly unlikely to ever reach where it's most needed. 'They' don't use our schools or hospitals.
please log in to view this image slightly out of date - however, hardly designed by the rich for the rich - someone on £10k contributes £250 to UK Ltd whilst someone earning £150k contributes £59860 - I appreciate some use approved methods to pay less than the tens of thousands they already contribute (legal/avoidance), equally there are many who are paid cash in hand who don't declare it either,(illegal/evasion) equally complicit are the thousands and thousands of people who are happy to pay cash in hand for a discount in full knowledge that it wont be declared- perhaps the law should be changed to make sure not only do you give a proper receipt but you have to ensure you receive a proper receipt as well - if we're going to close loopholes lets close all loopholes
But really we’re not talking about anyone that chart is relevant to We’re talking the super rich, not those on PAYE regardless of how well paid
DBT was correct, I'm not referring to those earning £150k or even £1m pa. I'm referring to the families who own central banks and control the money supply.
It is a good article, I actually find even the sports reporting in the Irish papers well written. They seem to go for a more descriptive way of presenting a report, rather than a lot of the English papers going for sensationalism.
I think it's true that Ireland turns out more writers/poets as a proportion of the population than Britain (and probably anywhere else) does. This may have some influence on the quality of Irish reporting.
He's done all sorts of stupid and henious things in public, just one that springs to mind was referring to Milly Dowler as that "...murdered schoolgirl thing". To put it mildly, he's an unpleasant little **** and I'd be a little embarrassed to be standing by or associating myself with work by him, but that's just me.

Tax , I evade and avoid especially when you've taken the stair carpet up and they are exposed. Nasty little buggers.
