The only one she tweeted was the one of the Councillor she interviewed... please log in to view this image Probably didn't want to risk getting anyone in bother.
Are you suggesting that it didn't happen, that RH maybe got actors in to pretend that people were jumping over and trying to get to work?
Maybe they did but the fact remains that Pearson wanted a hotel with a casino as part of it either attached to the KC or very close by and the council were not exactly keen or offered any encouragement. He was very pissed off at the time when his plans were not taken seriously. From memory the idea of a casino was kicked out straight away because the council wanted it situated near the new hotel ( which hasn't been built) in an area near Drypool Bridge called 'The Boom', another idea that hasn't got off the ground yet. Boom my arse.
This is a good post in its telling of how petty, spiteful and uncompromising the Allams are. So both AP and the Allams had an issue with the council? Because he was angry with the council did Pearson alienate the fans by trying to change the club name? Did Pearson call fans hooligans? Did he accuse fans of not hassling the council because he didn't get what he wanted? Did he remove the word 'City' from all club communications? Did he remove concessions? Did he erect a ****ing ridiculous gate to annoy and hinder the folk of Hull in a personal vendetta? Nope. Because not only is Adam Peason a gent, he has a thousand more times business sense when it comes to sport than the Allams ever will. A message for our next owners when they have a spat with the council: HCC may be twerps, but if you want us Hull City fans on your side, be more AP and less Allam.
''Tis true. But Adam couldn't get the council to move their arses either. The area is supposed to be redeveloped.
quote by Adam Pearson The Council took the long-term view and wanted to build a legacy with the KC dividend windfall money,” he says. “But the disappointing thing – and this is as much down to me as anyone – is that we didn’t develop it out in the boom years going up to 2007.“The casino licence was won and we had hotels falling over us to get involved. We should really have done that then because it would have finished off what the council wanted – to regenerate the whole of West Hull.“It was supposed to start off with hotels and restaurants, alongside the casino. There would have been a conference centre and then it would have levitated out towards smaller shops and into the residential areas. But it never quite took off, which is a shame.“It would be difficult to do it now as well. The casinos have gone, and so have the hotel chains. It could still be done but it would need someone of great wealth to do it.” Read more at: http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spor...provides-a-beacon-of-unity-for-hull-1-5245265 according to Adam Pearson it was him and not the Council, but don't let facts get in the way of your comments
