I now realise that being single isn't that bad, and has it's advantages. Not saying it's something I want though.
Said every bloke ever It's the way of the world mate, young blokes who are single get fed up of it and want a woman to settle down with.... blokes who have that end up longing for being single. Just the way it is.
Single or with someone....both are good if it is what you want. Being single suits me....as I can do what I like when I want....and do nothing I don't want to. However, I have been married, so I can see that can work as well. The secret is to recognise who you are and what suits you.
Also the most important thing is that it's better to be alone than with the wrong person. Made that mistake before.

It's difficult to hide these days with celebrity status. Donkey's years ago the Press and the Royal family and Courtiers had an arrangement where they could do what they liked and the Press kept it out of their pages. Consequently, those people got away with loads of stuff. On balance, I think it's probably better to get it out there. We just have to learn not to be so quick to judge people. My fault is that, instead of being neutral, I can tend to give people the benefit of the doubt unless proven otherwise. I still see that better than be damning because the data is in. However, Spacey has already admitted to one assault, which he has apologised for [albeit rather badly in my view]. My feeling is that we allow people to make mistakes [ie, things that are not premeditated] in society and in their lives, before total condemnation. I know that's not everyone's view, but right or wrong it is mine. So for me, KS is still a person until proven to be a predator. And he will be found out if he is so.
I'm not talking about just celebrities to be fair. My issue is with this sort of crime and more serious offences of the same nature is labels like that tend to stick, regardless of guilt and so lives can be ruined.
Yes, absolutely. I did a little Aww shame, when I read the news. I always loved his enthusiasm for Italian cooking and he taught me quite a bit about funghi, because he was an expert in identification of species. For a few years I was confident on which species one could pick, besides the obvious ones. Can't do it anymore. Need to read up the knowledge again.
Well, as I say, we need to become less judgemental as a society. Look at the McCanns. Never any evidence that they killed their daughter. All they were guilty of was not watching her like a hawk, yet to a section of society they are as guilty as if they abducted [and maybe killed] her themselves. If you mean the living victims then yeah, it could be debatable whether this stuff should come out into the open.
Of course what you are suggesting is what news is actually in the general public's interest. I find a measure of what is deemed public interest has no place being there and really is just for entertainment and titillation.
The reason I came up with that is that I have a couple of windows that need it too. Only happens in the colder months.
Yeah I know, as Fran said different things suit different people, was more making the point to PL as he was always moaning about not having a gf etc. I think it suits me at the moment really, as although I think quite a lot I want to be with someone, at the same time I don't want to live my life around someone else either!
Some good news though. This little man got released from vet hospital today. We’re not quite out of the woods just yet, but they’re happy, and I’m delighted! As is he.
I do take your point, and both agree and disagree. As or the McCanns, in my opinion they're certainly guilty of something and it's a disgrace that they've never faced a neglect charge or similar. Makes me angry that they seem to have got away with it.
