Off Topic world class player

Morning all. I see that Andrea Pirlo has retired. I have never seen a player who could find space like he could. I'm sure he could have found space in a crowded phone box. Wonderful footballer.

 

Yes and I read somewhere that he was told he was too slow and small to be a good footballer.

Didn’t you say we should sign him a couple of years ago? Or is he the one you didn’t want us to sign?

 

I would have signed him in a heart beat he was that good but I knew he wouldn't come to us

 

I remember when I was a mere child, Pirlo was only 16 and a child himself.
I wrote a letter to then Millwall manager Mick McCarthy advising him to buy this player as he would be a future star.
Received a letter back from big nose thanking me for the advise, but instead he signed striker Sergei Yuran and defensive-midfielder Vassili Kulkov from Spartac Moscow on the advise of Bobby Robson (God rest his soul)- both ended up being spectacular failures!!
