Been experimenting with some different spud recipes on the 'Juggernaut' thread ... mashed or thinly diced and frazzled seems to have worked best <laugh> ... might have to copyright my Spud Quentinoise recipe ... take a spud, slice thinly, then crisp it under a grill untill it squeaks ... season to taste and devour with aplomb ..<cheers>

    Re spuds...
I like mixing a little turnip into my mashed potatoes. I don't use any milk, instead I use sour cream to add the dairy and little bit of moistness. (Also add butter, garlic, herbs, and parmesan)

Went to a supermarket in France with the intention of getting some veal.
Got back to the house and started to prepare what was supposed to be veal with sweet onions and chorizo only to find we had bought a calf brain. Cracked on anyway, it was OK but nothing special.

    Africans and Caribbeans love YAM
Yams are a good source of vitamin C – 27% of the daily value for fighting infections such as colds and flu and quick wound healing, anti-aging, strong bones, and healthy immune function. It also provides good amounts of fiber, potassium, manganese, and metabolic B vitamins.

I think I had Spam once as a young child. I don't recall this event but I'm told I did. That has to.be grosser than insects or brains.

Everytime I go to the grocery store and see spam on the shelf I think:

"Someone must buy this or it wouldn't be here"

    It's a scary thought.

Is it always the same tin?

If you’re not sure then the next time you’re at the “grocery store” stick a little label on the tin and check it each time you go back.

I’ve not had spam for years but don’t remember it being too bad.

I love black pudding but never tried white pudding which sounds grim.

They both sound grim when you think about it.

Was forced to eat spam at a meal once by my parent's until I puked, they let me stop at that point. ****ers.
