Grayson was our best chance of survival? We'd have been all but relegated by Christmas if he'd stayed and I very much doubt that we'd have won another game all season under him.

It may not work out under the next manager 'cos the rot may be too deep, but at least we now have hope.

Cattermole in a nutshell. Stands still doing nothing but as soon as the ball is in play he's pointing at people telling them what to do, which they ignore.

Absolutely appaling for a professional footballer. Can any figure out why he's been brought back into the team though. I'd even rather have Rodwell in there

Gibson, Jones, Catts, JoS and Rodders the sooner they are off the payroll the better, they are taking us in only one direction.

It's finding someone willing to take them off our hands.

That's not going to be easy.

Thankfully Oshea and Gibson are out of contract in the summer.

Catts and Rodwell still have lengthy contracts :-/

So that'll be 2 down 2 to go.

I don't think Catts will have a problem getting another club tbh.

I'd have thought Rodders would want to see that contract out even if it meant sitting on the bench till it runs out. I can't imagine him getting anything near as lucrative now.

They’re at the top of my SAFC bucket list. Massive waste of money

I genuinely think he'll retire as soon as his contract expires here

    He's only 26 mate.

With his PL experience on his CV he's more likely to end up in China if he goes after money.

He's recently said his body can't cope with the demands of playing midfield. He's ****ed.

If he's said that he really shouldn't be taking the money that he's overpaid to play in midfield for us.

    I hadn't heard that mate.

For his own sake he should retire right now. Today! This minute!

Imagine any other job where you airily admit to your bosses and customers that you can't do the job that you're paid for, while taking twice the salary of everyone else and never actually showing up to work.

    You'd be popular.

But Ndong had his best game of the season after being average (kind exaggeration maybe) at central midfield? So why move him from there? McNair is an (apparently) attacking mid. and looked good there.

I'm absolutely baffled as to what can be done. Watmore should be starting, but, controversial here, McGeady sometimes looks a bit of a luxury IMO. Fantastic creative footballer with goals, but reminds me of Arca when he beats his man then has to beat him again. Sometimes looks world class then looks class clown! Although you do need that brilliance sometimes so ****ed if I know!

Christ I'm glad I'm not picking the side!!!

Disagree about Stockdale mind. Think he will become a good manager. He's just not there yet. One game proves nothing. When Ndong got injured it was primed for mcmanaman down the right and Honeyman has been poor IMO recently so that was a strange decision.

Time will tell! As you say we'll climb this league with the right man in charge. Just have no idea who that is.

Right now I'd be kind of happy with a 0-0 draw! Clean sheet would give us some hope

Sums it up, I too would like to see N'Dong out wide again but we need him in the middle due to our other central midfield ie Catts, Rodwell, Gibson et al being shocking and probably the worst set of players in this division bar none. Paddy looks OK but no more, the defence is full of holes and painfully exposed every game. We need more than a new manager imo.
