Crazy story and of all the questions I could ask one stands out. How did you get the cow in the bath?

Lots of nice fish out there but you have to travel.to get the experience

How good is fresh tuna steak? But most people (including my lad) who don't like tinned tuna will never know how different and delicious it is

Rope and bodies. Mission but it wasn't a huge cow..Tickle was a monster of a bloke too.

I have an outrageous story about tickle. Not the time nor place for it now but I'll share it when the times right. Proper mental.

Tuna Steak is amazing. I love it.

If you want the ease of supermarkets.. ALDI do frozen tuna steaks and they're pretty decent. Especially if you don't have time to go to fishmongers and piss around cooking at home.

Couldn't do it myself (eat dog)

having travelled to places where if you want to eat chicken you have to go to a guy who keeps them in cages, pick one and its killed in front of you and chopped up the whole dog thing isn't that bizarre IMO

The dogs are bred for eating so it's like buying a lamb or chicken in another country

Done that too...similar age to you. It's quite traditional for us to slaughter an animal..to celebrate a birth etc. Obviously don't do it here as often as it happens back in Pakistan etc. Live a proper farmers lifestyle when we return for a visit. Seen a water buffalo slaughtered...that's the biggest animal I saw. When it's Hajj..camels get it...that's sumt else.

I don't really like that kind of stuff..but I'm a hypocrite as I enjoy meat.

I.do.get the frozen stuff and it is nice but nothing beats fresh out the sea and cooked within an hour or so. Light cooked with minimum herbs and oil etc

You can get fresh tuna from supermarkets...granted its not straight out of the water but it's the real steaks. Rather have a steak of Lamb though. I've tried loads of fish...but I prefer the boring stuff.

Crab is nice, prawns are a bit overated. Scampi is nice, especially in crisps. Scallops are one of my favourites...but not something I've had often.

    Yeah it's so good.

That's the bonus about living in Weymouth, our fresh seafood is amazing. Every summer there's a seafood festival down here and it's a great day out. Music, beer and fresh fish.

Fresh seared tuna steak is lovely. Must only be seared though, if it's cooked through it's ruined.

When I had Locusts in Mauritania, they weren't really considered to be an oddity or a faddish food. They are simply an easily accessible source of protien.

Still maintain that you can't beat a fresh Mackerel cooked on open coals on the beach. In the summer Mackerel are really easy to catch. We go for a surf, then feather off the pier for 20 mins, usually come back to the beach with 5 or 6 Mackerel. Chop off their heads, slit their guts, clean them out and then straight onto the bbq. <ok>
