A massive congratulations to Joe Gomez who has been called up to the England squad. Don’t forget it was only last year that he battled back after a 12 months out too. A further testament to the guy.
Delighted for him. Seems to have lost a bit of pace, but still a thoroughly good player. Would love to know how his career would be going if he didn’t have those two major injuries.
He has a huge opportunity to start cementing his place for the next decade. England aren’t plush at CB, and whoever is able to dislodge Cahill will be doing the national side a favour.

Backwards? I think he’s been brilliant for Liverpool. I think Don pointed out he’s perhaps lost a yard of pace due to the injury, but he’s hanging with the big boys in the league and not looking out of place. He got MOM against both Man U and arsenal if memory serves.
He'll be even better when they move him to his best position. How Lovren/Klavan/Matip are ahead of him in the CB order is beyond me

I read this online to be fair. If Liverpool did get away with it being a competitive fixture then they further rang rings around KM. should have had an instalment on both.
