People are talking about a big appointment for the club at the moment. The big appointment was finding the person to replace Allardyce, it was a high point for the club and looked like you may have turned a corner (yes I know every season you had finished strong). Moyes didn't feel like a stupid appointment immediately but he needed to make sure that the core of players who were performing well at the end of that season were kept together to perform the next year - he didn't.
Personally if I had hired a manger who’s first words were we will be in a relegation fight I would have put my hands up there and then and said I’ve got this wrong I’m sorry you are not the man for us and sacked the sack less twat right there. No way you can move forward with that attitude
The main concern was when he said he had turned the job down 9 months previously as it was "impossible" (Allardyce showing it wasn't) only to then guide the team to a worse position a year later. I think he got off lightly as regards people not pushing him on that quote. I still wouldn't be surprised to see him do ok at West Ham.
I would be very suprised to see him do well, I think he did well at Everton because of kenwright and only that, he’s **** really ****, an angry Scottish gargoyle who couldn’t pick a hand at crash, seriously rate him as the worst Safc manger since Wilkinson or cotterill I wouldn’t wish him on any club
Well we had ****ing Joe Kinnear! And Carver! Surely my team can win the "crappest managers" argument?
Moyes never wanted to be here, he displayed no appetite for the job whatsoever, makes me worry about the goons who appointed him, can they get it wrong yet again, we will soon see.
If they get this wrong we are ****ed I’d be swallowing my pride and throwing money at sam he’s obviously ready to get back in the game as the noises from Everton suggest
I absolutely agree. He’s shot to bits. West Ham will survive but in spite of him not because of him. No way was that squad of players going down regardless.
Just joking Fenton. My gut reaction wasn't for polite company! You're the only lass on here as far as I know.
Moyes taking charge of West Ham will be very interesting. Will give us some way of answers whether it was him, us, or a bit of both.
I deffo agree with that but we all know there are players over there who are quite happy to collect their wages but who also dont give a flying one about us. No effort, no committment.
Agree up to a point but as I recall although McCoist was not a star here in a poor team he was the raw young kid nearly always in goalscoring positions - he missed a lot but Rangers saw his potential and developed him. But we need a manager who is able to gee up the whole dressing room and have the players respect. McCoist is a bit of a legend in football and well acquainted with Sunderland. Walter Smith can provide further experienced direction. It may work.
I sometimes think it's odd that it's such a sausage fest on here because at matches there's loads of women of all ages and to my simple mind it's the same sort of people on here as go to matches.
