@Stan The Chosen One has been very quiet on the subject. Usually he posts "Matic superb" at 455 every Saturday. I expect he spunked his load prematurely after a couple of 4-0s earlier in the season and has learned his lesson. He may even get frustrated with Matic the longer the season goes on and deeper Jose retreats. I suspect Jose will get a good 12 months out of NM, which will help Pogers, at least.

I liked Bakayoko yesterday, good performance. I like the way he's dynamic and makes plenty of forward runs. Totally different type of player to Matic though. Bakayoko seems like a box to box midfielder, just needs a bit of polish in the offensive third. I'd have him over Matic though given the choice. But you numpties could have had both, and not strengthened a rival in the process
I think we should have kept Chalobah personally. We'd seen the best of Matic and suits Jose's game better. And 40m is OK price. Baka needs more than bit of polish! His passing is atrocious. Worse than Essien's when he first came to Chelsea
