If that happens sad. Keita and Mane are both Muslim as well and have to observe Ramadan

Just because Firmino plays with a 9 on his back doesn't mean he's employed to just score goals... just considering yesterday's game, he's involved in the build up to practically every single goal, even if he doesn't get the immediate assist. I think he's absolutely vital to our team; holding up the ball (he's very strong for his stature!), linking all of our attacks with turns and passes and lets not get started on his work rate and pressing which is phenomenal and up there with what Suarez gave us. Not sure how the stats ended yesterday, but at half time he was far and away the highest tackler and interceptor on the pitch. More goals would be nice, but as long as someone in the team is getting them, I'm happy!

As an aside, everyone bangs on about Kane being some kind of world class centre forward, but his PL goal contributions (9) is the same as Morata, Salah, and Sterling, but worse than Lukaku and Aguero (both 10) whilst Sane has 11.

Goals scored for individuals aren't everything. Goals scored by a team is.

In addition to Klopps Mannschaft post if the goals are spread you don't have the worry of how you will cope if they get injured.

Yep - we’re not reliant on one player. I think a lot of fans got caught up when we went through a bad patch where we couldn’t score 2 or 3 every game but the chances were there.

Goals are starting to flow. Firmino was excellent yesterday - the skill for the third goal was brilliant.

Well hang on but mane set up two so he is still vital. He made a real difference.

Salah has been good and played most games so he's also now vital.

As for firmino the fact is he told klopp he was mad at not scoring and klopp told us. He asked for no 9 as well so clearly he fancies himself as no 9.

    Our league goals

    Salah 7
    firmino 3
    Sturridge 2
    Mane 3
    Coutinho 2
    Ox 1
    Matip 1
    Henderson 1
    Windy 1

So... spread? Well somewhat after 12 games it not bad. Sturridge, mane and coutinho have not played much so their returns have been good.

As I said yesterday if firmino wants to be upset by not scoring then that's just fine by me.

Top result. Loving Salah, if he can increase his conversion rate then he’ll be one hell of s player. Such a threat, how good was that first goal. No team can defend that!

Not the first time it happened either, same thing against Arsenal when ago I scored.

For all the moani about how iffy we’ve been and not a great season, were 4 points off 2nd having already played all the top clubs bar Chelsea.

    Take a look at this:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/top-scorers
His shots on target % is one of the highest in the league. Of course that doesn't tell you anything about the quality of the shot, but it indicates that he's not as wayward as we all (me included) seem to think.

    Where have you been, btw?

I think he hits the keeper a lot, doesn’t find corners. Even his first goal yesterday was way too close to keeper. Looked like he scuffed it more than anything.

Just had stuff going on, all good though <ok>

You see a lot of goals that go under an onrushing keeper or squeeze through him somehow. There's an element of luck to the majority of goals. I was just surprised at how many he does get on target, as I thought he was much more wayward than that.

Glad you're back with us, we were wondering....
We were reduced to having a Chav do our predictioo league.

when you are close mist strikers go fir bwtween the legs.

when you are 12 yards out and right at keeper it's an issue

Just doesn’t look natural in front of goal but he creates so many chances that even if he scores 1 in 3, he’s going to get you over 1 every 2 games which is good going for a wide forward.

Between jeepers legs fine, but he rolled t about 2 inches away from his leg with so much of the goal to aim at. Anyway, not complaining, just that he tends to go close to the keeper a lot.

Apatt from his 2nd which he smashed into the corner perfectly placed <laugh>
