I think the main issue is you have just stuck two fingers up and questioned things by then offered no explanation or way to improve things. We all try to give reasoned arguements and constructive criticism. I'm sure many of us find it odd that Iwelumo has an injury suddenly but we might try to explain what could be done to change things and rectify the situation. The language was uncalled for however!!
Without placing myself in your chosen category I would say that most people who have a genuine point to make come up with an argument - you chose to simply state you thought it was convenient. Personally I don't think you are a wum but someone who is poor at putting out a decent argument - do you really think that Dyche would be pleased not to have the option to play or put CI on the bench - he will have far harder choices to make this season than that. My suggestion is that if you want to post on this forum you try to engage your fellow supporters rather than insult them
Good response Leo - although I have to question your use of the term 'your fellow supporters'! Having said that, no matter what part of the stadium we frequent, I suppose we all recognise the OP's type - the loud-mouthed twat whose idea of supporting a team is to hurl vitriol and abuse at its players and officials at every opportunity. Probably reflects their homelife as a child.
Doubt it Norway - at a rough guess you would have taken the A96 from Aberdeen to Inverness. Unless, of course, you took the scenic route and drove along the Moray Firth via the A98, in which case I could have waved as you passed by
BB, have you seen some of the idiots abusing Scott Loach on Twitter? Totally uncalled for I may not be SL's best supporter but I would not abuse him like I have seen on there
Yes - sickening really. What they get out of doing it, or hope to achieve, is anyone's guess. Wouldn't be surprised if the OP is one of their number. What pathetic lives they must lead.
To be honest, if footballers do not expect abuse whilst posting on twitter then they are pretty stupid..like the Internet, it is full of people looking for a response...
What I will say is.....I think that as members of the same forum, and supporters of the same team.....it's quite disappointing to see people's posts in this thread. One of the reasons I liked 606 was that unlike forums where people are my generally my age or a bit less......you could always rely on maturity. What makes it worse is that, some people on here are making a habit of it. I'm against wums of course......but let's be serious here......anyone who has actually seen Iwelumo play for us will know that he has been terrible. The fact is Iwelumo is an experienced player on good wages, and we should expect him to perform. If he is not up to it then....really he should not be playing. With players like Jenkins and Hodson......who have found themselves in the team when they probably weren't as ready as we would hope......they are teenagers and not only will they get better......they will have a price tag dangling from their necks so that we can keep in business. What place does Iwelumo have in the team? It's only been a games so, we can give him more time but for me he's not going to improve.....he's not going to suddenly be able to jump and win a header.....I don't buy the injury by the way, he was freely moving around the pitch (well I say freely......but he is incredibly slow) and simply put I don't think he's good enough. Burnley fans were happy to see him go.....and there was no sign that they felt hard done by transfer money wise......doesn't that say enough???? Honestly, I give players time to prove themselves, but I can't see Iwelumo magically becoming better. He is past his best, and he has lot what made him a decent Championship striker. He never had technical ability....but he was an aerial threat and could hold up the ball. What he has shown us is that he cannot do that at all any more. I would rather play other players, who not only will do a better job......but have a future at this club, or if not.....they can be sold for a good amount of money. After this season, I would be very surprised to see Iwelumo still here, he is going to leave on a free for sure. Now, some people like to defend everyone and everything Watford, but we all have different views, opinions and aspirations. I don't personally agree that optimism is the only way.....and at the end of it Iwelumo is a player Watford are paying.....he is not Watford and Watford will continue to exist when he has gone. So with that in mind, I don't feel obliged to care about Iwelumo.....my main concern is the scoreline after 90 minutes, and the points on the table. The problem Iwelumo has is that, we cannot afford to wait. We need to pick up points or we will be relegated, and we do not have a big experienced squad to fall back on. We either need Iwelumo to hit the ground running and be one of our key players.....or we might as well not have him at all. To be honest, I was happy to see that Iwelumo was not playing, and his "injury" forced Dyche to play Deeney......who goals or not will put in a good shift, and actually hold up the ball and be an aerial threat. It's not particularly about Iwelumo not playing......it's more that I wanted someone I believe is better to play instead. I'm a man of my own opinions.....that is one of my rights and to be fair to myself I'm not one to be a sheep and just sit there, merrily clapping my hands and thinking to myself "Hey, I don't need to worry or have an opinion, because Dychey does that for me!". Surely, the whole point of a forum is to express yourself. Sure....the guy who made this thread did not go into any detail at all......but the fact remains that is is an opinion. No one on here will insult and belittle someone on here when they make a very simple, but positive thread......so to do so for what some may perceive as negative is disappointing. I agree that if you're going to make a point.....then you should explain yourself and expand....but some of the people who have insulted this guy are guilty of doing the same thing, be it a positive or negative comment. Also.....on the note of "we need to be positive for the players"......I completely agree. I wouldn't criticise a player on their Twitter page......because that's just bad for the club and I respect people. But this forum is away from the players view.....they don't read it and cut themselves if someone gives them a thumbs down......
I am not saying that gdb is a WUM, but the most seems to be one trying to get a response. If it had been saying it seems very convenient that he was dropped and giving reasons and further arguments and reasoning then there would be no issue. But if i were to post a thread simply stating "Marvin is useless" you would all shoot me down and question the validity. However, if i put "Marvin is useless for reasons x/y/z you would understand.
Moose thats a rather good post , would have repped it if we still had that !! I agree with a lot of what your saying !, Give CI another month then if he still hasnt done anything, I would tend to agree a lot more!!! At least you came on here and presented a reasonable argument of your opinion in this matter! gdb could learn a lot from you!!! rather than just slagging off players and other fellow watford fans here
