I arrived back in the UK last week. To start a(new job) I was so looking forward to going to watch City again. When I got back to HULL I was reading through these threads as I always have done. The difference being back here was it seemed so much more personal. I simply couldn't get the enthusiasm to go to the games. I know it sounds stupid. I will return one day. It just doesn't feel right atm. The sign incidents just make it easier not to go. Allams you ****s. Just how I feel sorry.
I can't be arsed anymore and in truth, I'm probably done - this past two and a bit seasons I've got my football fix from watching Winterton Town, Bottesford Town, Gainsborough Trinity or Brigg Town, one of them's always at home if I fancy a game, I have no bridge fee to pay, the banter's better, the beers better and the football, if not a great standard, is honest and wholehearted. My disillusionment with pro-football isn't wholly down to the way things are at the KC but, I really dislike all the toxic **** that goes with it. Fan against fan, that's the worst of it - you can keep it.
Yes that' the worst the fan against fan bit. When you have people at each others throats and claiming they'e not a Real City fan it' time to say goodbye I think. ( Well until they go anyway ) Being ridiculed for supporting City for years was bad enough but when you'e own question your city credentials it' not on really.
If you could turn your back on the club because of something so trivial, maybe you're not a real city fan at all.
Well despite all the negativity I still like to go to games. Just got to remember I am there to support the players on the pitch and not the Allams. I would just miss it I didn't go and besides why let the Allams drive me out.
Yeah but here' the thing.!!! I don' take you seriously at all. Let me know if this comment was helpful.???? Thanks in advance.
Just read the trust minutes from last month. Anyone care to explain It was agreed by the Board members present that the proposed location of the 3 plaques recently launched as part of the HCC initiative, (commemorating Billy Bly, Raich Carter & Andy ‘Jock’ Davison), provided a reason to pursue access rights to the area next to the K.Com stadium commonly known as the ‘Railway Triangle’
What was the Council's 'childish but funny' response to the sign removal? Wasn't something going to be announced yesterday ... or have I missed it?
Councillor Brady has a meeting scheduled with Ehab. The plan is to catch him with this please log in to view this image
Appalling that the reason this hadn’t happened before was because the Club refused to answer phone calls and emails from the Council !
Ah, rite. Thanks. Sounds good ... but I was expecting something more direct in retaliation. This was happening anyway. Off topic a bit, but why Raich Carter ahead of Waggy or Ash? Raich Carter, as good as he may have been, 4 seasons, 136 appearances. More Sunderland's than ours. Waggy, 12 seasons, 378 appearances. Only 2 clubs. A true CITY legend. Ash, 9 seasons. 243 appearances. 1st player to captain their club through all 4 divisions. Our greatest captain ever. Or is it that they have to have passed away?
