I can't help but think he must be god awful if he hasn't even had a sniff despite Ruiter and Steele both being dire.

Steele is awful. Ruiter deserves the same run Steele got.

Ironically, I think it's the one position that we've been, at the least, reasonably happy with right through the last 50 years - until now.

Well not the same as Steele got too many, if form mirrors like it has all season that is. But it's Ruiters turn for a run no doubt. Did well today.

I thought Ruiter showed today that he's solid enough to be first choice. He isn't racked with nerves like Steele is and looks like he'll be less of a pushover when boxed in etc.

 

Ruiter for me on to-days performance, N'Dong looked immense in his new position, best player on the field first half. We deserved a point to-day, but we need a win from somewhere, and soon.

 

Definitely and has been posted elsewhere that Ruiter is a confidence player (bit like Mannone in that respect) so needs a run of and our positive support - I recall how Vito saved us from premiership relegation
