  6. To be fair, that could be the reason we've switched off.

At least, I'm hoping that's the reason!

    Called it exactly.

However, getting very angry now that nothing
appears to be happening in training to drill for
    defeating the parked bus.

    1-0 FT

Very predictable result and tbh probably the best we'll see against essentially the entire bottom 14 teams in the league here at Wembley.

Dier, Dave and Jan superb. Really impressed by Gazzanigga - made some excellent saves and looked composed throughout after an early flap.

Kane and Winks clearly not fully fit and I hope both of them are hooked from the England team asap.

Eriksen and Son had two of the worst games I have ever seen from a Spur player. As for Aurier, the less said the better but he is currently a Walker 2013-14 reincarnation. Terrible performance.

Rose was creative down that flank and reminded us what he can do. Will be invaluable when he's back to full fitness.

Sissoko had a top game as far as I'm concerned. Worked his socks off, took up good positions and made a crucial contribution for Son's goal.

MOTM for me is Dave, closely followed by Dier and Gazza.

End of the day, with this afternoon's fixtures, 3 points in any way shape or form was essential. Ideal time for an intl break in many ways as we look a bit ragged at the minute.

Really happy with that, it was inevitable that after Wednesday's performance that today was going to be the complete opposite and despite some stupid moments and poor passing/ crossing, we grafted out a much needed win against a side who's desperate for points.

Gazza on his debut was superb (who needs Lloris, eh? Lol). Dier, Dave and Jan were also great.

    Nice finish from Son.

    Happy days, COYS!

  14. "This is exactly what the doctor ordered for Spurs. Not totally convincing but a win all the same. They were dominant in the first half without creating much. When the game opened up in the second half, they took risks, their keeper made some good saves and then one fabulous bit of skill from Son later and they've got the three points."
(Steve Claridge, BBC Football Live commentary)

    I think that's a fair assessment.

Us Yiddos expect us to play like World-beaters all the time, but it's simply unrealistic to expect that to happen.

With the players we had out - Lloris, Vorm, Alderwiereld, Alli - and with the remainder of the first XI looking shattered from our superb win against Real only a few days earlier, I think the result we got, and the way we got it, is fantastic!

    COYS!

    Onwards and upwards!

Aurier....he's a conundrum. His attacking play is troublesome for the opposition but the lack of defensive calmness makes me shudder.

Kind of went the way I expected it to...a packed defence to unlock all afternoon. Sonny did what Sonny does best, popped up at an important time.

My positive criticism today is that our attackers need to look up a bit more. They all want to score, I get that...but we miss some great opportunities because the final execution in the last third is lacking...they all shoot when a bit of composure would put a team mate in with an 'easier' pop at goal.

Was about the 3 points today, we got them now let's see who messed up with the other games as every scenario presents us with a positive angle.

    MOM Gazza

    COYS!

To win the league we need more wins like Liverpool in my miserable opinion not unconvincing wins like this as everybody (not just me) agrees it was. I wasn't convinced with our forwards on Wednesday and was impressed with Gazza today but not much mo

    To add.

When you also take into consideration that Hugo (and Vorm!), Toby and Dele were out, Tripps and Davies given a rest, Winks and Kane not looking 100% right, that's an even better win. Not all wins are pretty but ones like this are often crucial during a season.
