And so it begins. How annoyingly predictable... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...t-Tottenham-boss-replace-Zinedine-Zidane.html
I think the next couple of seasons are going to be tough for Madrid. The high profile players in the team are ageing, getting lazy and are much too powerful. I would suggest that going there to clear that lot out is tantamount to career suicide. I'm not sure whether Mauricio Pochettino would ever manage them, given his very strong ties to Catalonia but right now? I just don't see it. I've seen/heard some interviews with Guillem Balague in the last few days. He wrote the book with MP and he makes it very clear that his thinking is that Tottenham is something very special. An opportunity that comes along once in a career. He wants to make the new stadium his fortress and to re-make Tottenham in his image, to create a team and club that reflects his philosophy without interference. Trying to get an ageing Ronaldo to press defenders against Apoel or Villareal probably looks like a **** career move, no matter how much money or 'prestige' comes with it. He's got lots of time to do lots of jobs. Leaping at the first big club in trouble that contacts him isn't smart. I'd discount this completely.
This was probably my favourite part of the game: Oleing the European and Spanish champions, Real Madrid, whose team contains the back-to-back Best Player Award winner? Doing it while 3-0 up after 70 minutes at Wembley and Sissoko has about 10 touches during the move? Yes, please!
I had tears in my eyes during this sequence of play. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. Favourite part was at the end when Marcelo headed Dier's stray ball straight back to Trippier and it got the biggest cheer of them all
Mine was the Eriksen goal. Shades of "Ooh, pericolo" IMHO (Modric got to feel how AC Milan did in 2011 when he helped do the same to them) .
They would have been the 10 touches that either reached a teammate in white or didn’t bounce randomly off him...... In what was an otherwise glorious evening, poor old MS seemed to take a few steps backward after a few decent games. Hopefully just a temporary blip and he’ll have a decent game against Palace.
Pochettino was livid with Walker for him saying he wanted to leave while we were doing well during the season. For him to now leave would make him a hypocrite of the highest order. I chose to believe he is is not so there for he will be here for the rest of the season at least. Imho he will stay for the first season in the new White Hart Lane.
The video doesn't show it but when Vertongen rescued Sissokos cross field pass to keep it going Sanchez applauded Jan! Me and my 14 yr old daughter and my 2 mates enjoyed every one of those cheers!
The front room.........I use that expression for my lounge.....my grandparents, who I lived with for a while, used to say it and with each passing day, I'm becoming more like my grandad.. My kids hate it. Firstly, "Nobody says that anymore, dad." Secondly, my lounge is at the back of the house and was in our previous house too. Pedants.
SUFFOLK CALLING. SorryI'm late to the party . Winter crops need bedding in (beat) , still the holiday cottages are busy ( grey pound and Dutch vistors , low season ) and we have Visit England (tourist board ) coming for their annual inspection. I tend to be on the job most of the time. Everything has to be perfect , we are 5 star but market ourselves as 4 stat gold . This leaves us with a little room for any errors and a very very fussy customer expectations . Her indoors is making vats of chutney , jams , Apple pressing etc, from our small autumn harvest . These we tend to give away to our lovely guests . Most of all ,the old girl has 12 bottles of homemade gin on the go , some flavoured , which if ł play me cards right we will be ready for Christmas . What a bloody result , watched it with one legged Ned down at the fox and buck . So proud , What a fan base , what a team , Bill Nick will be smiling and good old Arthur. Let the love in , your old mucker , mate and IPA troopaudour . Keep it up Sid
