I wear the poppy with great pride but find it somewhat ironic that some forget that those brave people that went before us did so; so that we had the freedom to decide whether we want to wear it or not.
I expect to see more commitment, passion and desire, I remember something Shankly once said “after a game I expect to see my players totally exhausted, if not they have not put a full shift in”
How do you look totally exhausted in a bar?? Might have done all that in the dressing room? When is an appropriate time for the team to smile again after a game? If we win shouldn't they be looking at the video to see why we won so it can be adopted in the next game??
As the title winning gooners used to say (they all used to drink in my locals), Win or lose we're on the booze.
