I wouldn’t go there if I was Poch. He’s got a good thing going there.

So Spurs have beaten Real Madrid tonight! That is good. However, how often do we see teams that underperform in the Group stages go on to win tournaments at the end of the day. At international level, Italy and Germany are past masters of the art, at club level we see Manchester United do no more than getting functional wins both domestically and in Europe. Who would bet against either Real or United being more involved at the latter end of the season than Tottenham? Hope I am totally wrong!!!

Not sure what this is supposed to be doing/meaning, but it doesn't feel appropriate to me.

I may just be overly sensitive. Is it really necessary?

So C.Ronaldo is in his Real Madrid kit, probably pre-match and he's choosing to speak English instead of his native Portuguese or even Spanish. Yeah, I'm sure he's saying what the meme suggests.

    What utter twaddle. ;)

Delete this post too, Chilco, while you're at it.

Okay, didn't expect that reaction! Apologies if my crude attempt at humour offended anyone.

The phrase is meant ironically, it's a mockery of people with anti-Semitic views and the plain craziness of them, certainly not meant to cause offensive. It's a spin off from a well known internet 'meme' and been round for years now, I would post the original but..

As TheSecondStain very astutely pointed out he's actually saying 'injustica'.

It's basically the same as this -

In that some % of the American population attributed everything 'wrong' in America with an Obama policy regardless of whether it was or not.

Be hard to turn down though, especially if they take some of his better players.

Not sure they'd go for him unless he won something significant though.

Don’t underestimate player’s loyalty to him. It’s one of the things he does best.

It would. But I think if he can keep the core of his team together (see above) he quite likes the idea of being a Spurs legend.

The worst thing for us about losing Cortese is that it led to us losing Poch.

I agree that if he believes he can keep them together it is the key. I don't think they will stay though.

Even if Cortese and Poch stayed, Shaw still would have wanted to go to United and Adam still would have wanted to go to Liverpool imo. And if real Madrid come in for alli he is still going to want to go regardless of Poch.

If Spurs want to keep their best players they either need to start winning trophies or paying the going rate. The latter certainly ain't happening and I'm not sure the former will either.

Spurs need to change their wage structure for any of their key players to stay (apart from maybe Kane). Topping out at £100k a week is nothing for a team that want to be regularly in the title hunt and with the amount of talent they have. Every other top 6 team will have far worse players on far more money so can see most of the players heads being turned.

Either that or start winning trophies regularly.

Being on the cusp can be very dangerous in football. And that is where Spurs are.
Decisions to be made. I imagine it will be a case of one leaves, and starts it all off.
