We lost our top defender, but didn't miss him. WTF!!!! Seriously, the whole team were awesome tonight, but Eric & Big Dave were just brilliant. Calmness personified.
And I suppose we do want to top the group don't we to play the second team in the next round. But hold on a moment, a little promoted team beat Madrid last weekend so I wouldn't be too hasty about beating Apoel.
I knew that we'd bought something special when we signed Davinson Sanchez but........Oh my word. I wonder if Paul Merson knows who he is yet?
Dave looks like he's been playing for us at the top level for years. Fantastic signing - and makes the departure of Kev W totally understandable.
When the draw was made the Goons were telling us that we'd be joining them in the Europa knock-out stages. Looks like they're getting Dortmund, Atletico and Napoli, instead!
Not so much from Ronaldo........ “It was a very big blow to go 3-0 down, although for me it wasn’t a good reflection of what happened on the pitch. Their first goal was offside, just like the other day. Our attitude is to run and fight, like it was at Girona."
Thrash Liverpool 4-1 Lead 2-0 and in total control against West Ham and end up losing 3-2 and knocked out of the Carabau cup. Deserve a draw at Old Trafford but concede a late goal and lose Beat Real Madrid 3-1 in the Champions league and qualify with 2 games to spare. 10 days as a Spurs fan...............................
Some of the decisions given for them were beyond laughable. Free kicks for slow motion dives, corners fabricated out of nowhere. And yet, Dembele aside (worrying given his age, experience and previous), we didn't let their tomfoolery get to us and kept a cool head throughout.
Just got in... Can not praise the team enough and hate to single a player out for praise after a good team performance but particular praise goes to Trippier and Davies and Dier... Oh and Sanchez...would have to include Lloris, Winks, Kane Dele and Eriksen... Oh and I thought Toby and Jan did really well (until Toby was injured). Oh must not forget Sissoko, Llorente and Dembele too! But the biggest praise goes to our fans...we made Wembley rock from the first minute tonight and that is no mean feat in that soulless ground. Tonight was beyond my wildest dreams and our team gave me and my 14 yr old daughter a night we will remember forever ... And they made an awful week a lot brighter Coys
Sergio Ramos........ "The score line is a bit deceptive, not to take anything away from Tottenham. They played very well, they're a great side, with a great stadium and fans who really make a difference." The first bit is rampant bollocks but he knows the truth of it.
Trippier has recorded 13 assists in all competitions in 2017; six more than any other Premier League defender. Underated.
