RiverEndRick: we just don’t have the players to take the chances that come our way. With Basil injured and CJ out of sorts we are relying on Maddison, Murphy et al to score. Just 6 goals scored at home. Unlikely to spend in January so we need to get used to being in mid-table for the forseable future.

2-0, that's game over. There's some irony in John Ruddy getting a clean sheet at Carrow Road.

That's true enough, CS, but it's also how predictable our slow attacks are. Wolves are just the opposite in those regards. We're lucky to only be 2 goals down.

Both Ruddy and Bennett could be back in the Premiership next season. Seems ironic when they were both given free transfers. If I recall correctly, Shackloth was shown the door and ended up with Burnley in Prem? There must be other examples of CR rejects going on to better things.

****ing ****e, we literally have nothing up front whatsoever. Watkins is not a striker, Jerome is a busted flush and Olive is another bloody Jarvis !
Basically we’re ****ed and destined for a long time languishing in this Godforsaken Division.
Just like when Hootun has his ten match unbeaten run, the happy clappers will point to this seasons nine match one to justify the status quo.
    Not happy <grr>

7 in midfield won’t get us goals! It’s appalling the tactics are the same every week and it isn’t working and it doesn’t look like it ever will!
For the next home game I’m bringing a jigsaw, or some wet paint or some grass seed.........

Just got home and that was EMBARRASSING!!!!!
I'm SOOOO pleased I gave up my season ticket and the next game I'm going to see is PNE and if I have to witness another inept display such as that tonight, it could be my last this year!!!!
It was like boys V Men and why on earth didn't he put Cantwell on - he couldn't have been any worse than Watkins????

That was a pretty obvious result. The side we had out against that side looked weak. It's strange how nearly every "promotion push" or relegation fight we come up against side who has obviously broken FFP. That's what happens when you buy about 3 or 4 15M pounds players in the Championship. Plus loan some of the worlds best youth prospects from a Champions League team. God knows the wage bill! That's why I voted Wolves win. The cheaters always prosper.

On the other hand, it is so disappointing that for a side who has spend recent seasons in the Premiership, we have to put out a side like that. Again, his substitutions looked strange. Losing, so replace the LB who shouldn't be in the team in the first place, and replace a DCM with a CB. Lets try and hold on to this 1-0 loss by being even more negative. Then concede a second.

2 shots on target and home, again is maddening. It's so predictable and timid.

CamJam looks a shadow of his usual Championship showing. He looks like he does in the Premiership. Watkins isn't a striker. Nelson is either injured or stupidly left on the bench. Morris got loaned out. Yet again, why did we not buy a striker!?

I must admit to feeling frustrated and disappointed in DF in recent weeks. I accept that he wanted to progress in the Carabao Cup, but t leave Basil playing 120 minutes - especially as he was allowed a 4th sub in ET????
Also, I felt rather than bring on a CB for Trybull, why not bring Cantwell on and give him a run out???

Sorry, it was Jason Shackell not Shackloth! Farke seems to have concentrated his efforts on defense and seems unwilling to have more than one striker on the pitch. Now the defense seems to gone back to its old ways at set pieces.

And Ruddy was coming for most of the crosses - something he hardly ever did when he played for us!!!

Is it just coincidence that Martin gets in the squad and we concede goals and fail to score in a game for the first time since ?

Just checked it was the Millwall game when Martin started.

I guess I was lucky, I didn't even know there was a game on last night

Football has become such a low priority for me these days. Never thought that would happen, but that's how it is now.

    Harsh, but VERY fair -

    nvw.jpg

At least MB doesn't watch the game through 'green and yellow glasses!!!' as PD often does.

I wonder if more of our players had played to their potential would Wolves have looked so good??
Actually, I think it was because Wolves were so good that we were so bad and we were lucky not to have conceded more than 2 goals!!!

PS - apologies for cutting off the bottom of the image it can be found here - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...wolves-after-efl-championship-clash-1-5261137

    Edit -
And as if by magic, here are PD’s ratings – were they both watching the same game????

    Angus Gunn 6.5
    Ivo Pinto 6.5
    Timm Klose 6.0
    Grant Hanley 6.0
    James Husband. 5.0
    Harrison Reed 6.0
    Tom Trybull 5.0
    Mario Vrancic 5.0
    James Maddison 7.0
    Josh Murphy 5.0
    Marley Watkins 6.0

MB is now making use of all the numbers 1-10. So, players will start at 5.0 unstead of 6.0 when he does his ratings.

Excellent summary of Tuesday's game on MFW - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...eam-but-still-concerns-there-to-be-addressed/. I really liked this excerpt - "But enough already. Let’s admit that we lost to a bloody good side. And they were. Wolves broke with pace and intent, often forcing Timm Klose and Grant Hanley too far apart for my liking. Nuno Espirito Santo and his boys are the best outfit I have seen this season by a country mile and even at this early stage I will say that they will be promoted, presuming they do not implode."
I'm in complete agreement with the highlighted text!!! <ok>

“Wolves broke with pace and intent”!
We didn’t and don’t, that’s the difference between every side we play!
Wolves weren’t any better than any team I’ve seen this season, we were just awful AGAIN!
We’re stuck in this sideways backwards passing system which isn’t working and won’t ever work until we get the ball forward quicker to a striker who isn’t afraid to shoot!!
