We finished around 20 points ahead of Wolves last season, yet this season they are the ones looking good for autos. What's changed? We have gained Saiz and lost Green, Bartley and Wood. Those were our 'big 3'. Wolves kept there stars in Costa and Cavaleiro and added Neves. Money talks and we can go around in circles talking about formations and is it the Manager's fault or the DOF's fault. We didn't need a massive overhaul, we just needed to keep our best players and add 1 or 2 more quality signings to show we were serious.

 

Wolverhampton Wanderers well one of the favourites for automatic promotion in preseason betting. I think they have invested heavily

For some reason it worries me we’ve lost more games than any other team in the top half apart from Ipswich (in 11th)

 

It’s opinions so here’s mine.

We have plenty of players good enough to be in a top 6 team.

The positions I currently doubt are:

GK
left back
Right and left wing/attacking midfield
Striker ?

Of all these the ones that are most pressing are the wing/attacking midfield positions - I like Alioski when he arrived but can now see he has severe limitations and don’t think Roofe is quite good enough, Sais can do it but it’s not his best position, he’s wasted there, Pablo maybe can but we need a proper wing player

Striker I put a ? - Because he can score, I’m not sure if he is not getting the service (but he ain’t outstanding, that’s for sure). For me jury still out on him

Not sure the fact GK and LB are very average would stop us getting top 6 if the other positions were filled with better quality

 

What would you say would be the first 5 names on the teamsheet

 

Would it be Saiz, Jansson, Ayling, Viera and Lassoga
