I thought you'd ****ed off from London. There was no time anyway. My mate picked me up at Euston at 3.45 and we went out where he lives in Hornsey. Sunday was all about getting to the dome. Full update on the trip will be available soon. I got back in one piece and tested my new hip severely. No side-effects, but my thighs are aching like **** today. Magnificent concert
The trip didn't start well. My eldest had flown back from Dubai, but had failed to transfer enough from one account to another and missed her phone bill. so got cut off. She was supposed to be seeing me on the Friday late afternoon early evening, but she didn't turn up. I was forced to call my ex-wife, who had also been stood-up. The unit finally managed to contact her boyfriend via face book. She'd gone out in Manchester on the Thursday night and on Friday, that and the jet-lag hit her. She spent the next 24 hours in bed. I was booked on the 2.20 pm from Warrington to Euston, but for some inane reason, I ended up getting on the 1.20 pm. The ticket monkey arrived about half way. By this time, I'd realised I was on the wrong train, so I just gave him the travel ticket. He snatched the other tickets from my hand and gleefully told me I wasn't booked on this train. I could either pay £180 at Euston or pay him a £40 excess fare. He said the ticket barrier wouldn't let me through. I said there were any ticket barriers and he said there were now. I reluctantly paid him. No ticket barrier and no-one checking tickets at Euston, so I'd just flushed £40 down the ****ter My mate picked me up and we went back to his in Hornsey. My daughter sent me her boyfriend's phone number, so I managed to speak to her. I arranged to meet them and their boyfriends at All Bar One at the arena at 5 pm on the Saturday. Everyone arrived at more or less the right time, but the place was ****ing rammed and initially, there were no free tables or seats. We got one eventually when a group occupying one ****ed off. To get to our block, we had to walk three quarters of the way round the ****ing arena. We went through security and then a helpful steward got hold of my arm and explained there was a lift, rather than the escalator. Having negotiated a couple at Archway, I jumped at the opportunity. When we entered our block, we found that our seats were 5 rows in from the very top and this involved walking up about 60 concrete steps, which was ****ing hideous. The youngest had gone ahead and supposedly found our seats, so we got there and sat down. The Doobies had already started. After about 15 minutes 3 blokes appeared saying we were in their seats, which we were. My youngest had failed to spot that the row we were on extended over the other side of the aisle, so we had to get up and move across, my eldest accidentally kicking someone in the head with her doc Martin in the process Me and my mate went for a piss at half time and the queue was ****ing massive. I was just about to piss myself, when another helpful steward approached me and took me to a disabled toilet, along with my 'carer' mate. The people in the queue were curling their lips at us. Steely Dan (minus Becker RIP) were as wonderful as ever, but could only do 90 minutes by arena riles, which ***en wasn't happy about. About 20 minutes before the end, I had to go for another piss. When I got down the steps, I decided there was no way I was walking back up there again, so another steward allowed me to stand and watch, before finding me a spare seat next to a very attractive lady who was sadly with her husband/partner. When it finished, I waited for the rest of them and we all went to join the queue for the tube, which was ****ing massive. By this stage, my knees were literally burning. Just when we were thinking we were going to miss the last tube, another friendly steward intervened and took the 6 of us to the very front of the queue. More snarling from the crowd We all just managed the last tube from North Greenwich and the went our separate ways. Needless to say, we'd all been vapourising like **** throughout the whole concert, so were very stoned. That was it really. I was happy that I'd tested my hip replacement almost to destruction without any adverse effects. As I said, my thighs felt like I'd been doing some heavy circuit training, not attending a rock concert. Both the girls had a wonderful time and I'm so pleased we finally managed to see them together.
That would have been Canary Wharf (my eldest and her new twat boyfriend got a room via air bnb), some locks in North London for my youngest and her boyfriend, and Hornsey for my mate and me). What would you have charged?
Had a ****ing bad time at 4-5am this morning, woke up in a cold sweat with stomach cramps, head spinning, ears ringing Went to the bathroom so I didn't do a spud from trainspotting then next thing i wake up on the bathroom floor on the other side of the room with a mashed up head ... totally passed out there and hit the shower on the way down wtf ?? hadn't even been anywhere near a steely dan concert or a dooby
so its not lie a flu or something. You passed out and hit your head which suggests you need to go see a doctor mate! Don't google it, get an appointment and get it looked at.
i think it's stress related lad, maybe like an anxiety attack or something which i have never had before
You never know. Getting lighted headed and passing out or cold sweats could be anything from heart to.. well i don't know. which is why i think you should go to your GP. Get some tests and that.
I'm sure your moaning about everything in London would have been just fine . I live about 20 minutes from north greenwich!
