Sofiane is pulling away from Coutinho....don't forget to vote. This result isn't a matter of life and death....it's more important than that.
We should win this. It's only Burnley 1-0 Saints, Gabbi to score a poachers goal from the only chance either side creates from 90 minutes of scintillating football.
This has 0-0 or 1-0 either way written all over it, hopefully goes Saints way but if I had to pick I'd say 0-0. Will be very similar to the West Brom game I think, just have to hope for a bit of magic to open them up as they are a very well drilled side.
Is this urgency a youth player or an out of contract signing? Will he berate the manager for not starting him before, after scoring a hat-trick? TBH I don't usually like formation 'experimentation' but do feel we need to surprise Burnley with something to prevent the horrible 0-0 lurching over the horizon.
Expecting another dire game of football. Burnley have good away form and they will want to play for their manager. I expect a low scoring game and, based on our poor home form coupled with their excellant away record; Burnley could just to edge this one.
Our main problem is their Manager and their team ethic, can't we persuade the Daily Mirror to start a few spurious rumours about his impending move to Everton just to upset their dressing room a tad?
From what I've seen of Burnley this year they have been incredibly lucky. I mean we are talking Fonte somehow not conceding a penalty for two seasons lucky. They are due a tonking. From what I have seen of us this year (sadly every minute) there's a reasonable argument to suggest that we are owed a veritable truck-load of goals. That's the fans of course, the team would only be owed goals had a few more of their "shots" been on target. Using these clear, cogent and scientific observations as a benchmark for a prediction, it's all very straightforward: 0-1 Burnley.
I have no idea how you arrive at your "goals owed" estimate, but I'm happy to concede that we are indeed owed a truckload Perhaps we could try playing for sustained periods in the oppositions half, and maybe even getting the ball into their box ON THE GROUND occasionally. That might help.
http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/discipline/fairplay I notice that we are bottom of the League for disciplinary points, this would suggest we aren't putting enough effort in to our games!
Like I said Archers, it's us fans that are owed! As for your astute tactical suggestions, it'll never catch on.....
We've not been nasty enough for a few seasons. Considering we have Oriol who is always worth a booking, we are way too nice. Where's Terry Hurlock when you need him.
You can't practise making opposition miss open goals (three at least) or indeed making the referee fail to award absolute stonewall penalties (again at least three). Your point is valid but I believe the league table flatters Burnley somewhat at present.
Nah, luck is when the gods smile on you for no apparent reason And when they do, be sure to enjoy it, because sure as eggs is eggs they'll be raining on your parade again tomorrow.
