Tomori's a centre back, who's capable of standing in at right back, which is not quite the same thing (though he was quite obviously an improvement on Aina, who's a right back that doesn't look like a right back).
He's aware of the problem can he change it. I looked at greegsys body language, it wasn't good. The shoulder save looked like a shrug of the shoulders!!
I must admit for their second goal I was watching the cross, by the time the ball reached Assombalonga's head it looked like a free header. Don't know what irvine was doing for that one either. I think Slutsky will be called in for talks today.
I hoped for better from the Chelsea loanees - perhaps because when we had the 5 Man U loanees, Brady and Chester were outstanding, eventually, - howver, its possibly easy to forget that Stewart, Dudgeon and Evans never really made it - I certainly can't see these three making it unless something dramatic happens in their futures, which it certainly isn't going to under Slutsky - last night was the end of the road really for Slutsky - no pattern, no fight, no idea, a total car crash - I quite like the guy, but not as manager of Hull City - the whole lot is just another Ehab **** up with no easy solution, whoever comes in has to sort out, the remnants of the mess we were in when Brucie left to the absolute ****fest that we have today - theres probably only McGregor, Bowen, Campbell, maybe Dawson but hes getting on, possibly Growsicki, if he had better players around him who are anything like good enough, the rest I'm afraid are playing like a bunch of misfits
Trouble is, if Slutsky isn't the man for the job, who is? The managers that are suitable that know this league also know the state of the club ownership and management. Big Sam could do the job but wouldn't be seen within 20 miles of the place. It will be yet another foreign manager wanting an "in" to English football, who again doesn't get the Championship. Cycle starts again.
Think we are clutching at straws. Mazuch is suffering from Kamil Ghilas disease where he suddenly becomes world class because he isn't playing. Similar Tomori was seen as the answer to our full back issues when deep down we knew he was no better. Slutsky has been stuffed he has been giving a squad that has been overloaded in so many areas, and any manager coming in would need to make a lot of changes to get us near the play offs. Do I think he is doing well? No, not really. Did I want him appointed in the first place? Not really. Do I give a **** because the Allam are ruining our club anyway? No. Put Mourinho in charge but if he doesn't get support from the board it's pointless.
The proof in the pudding lies in the rapidly falling attendance. If i was slutsky i would walk then spill the beans. Wish Bruce would for starters.
We need to change it now. The goal is to stay up this season get through next season's parachute payments and not find ourselves in League 2 then the Allams will be gone. An English experienced manager is what we need. **** knows who would come though.
I think that's a bit harsh on Mazuch, he was excellent against Bolton and hasn't had a look in since. I also think Tomori was significantly better at right back than Aina.
I was wrong. Allam won't pay him off will he. He will get rid on some made up **** hoping he can avoid paying out.
It kills me to say it , because I spent 18 months wanting to punch him in the throat and danced with joy for a week when he left , but we need a Nigel Pearson type - capable of organising and scraping some 1-0 wins- preferably not Pearson tho , somebody like him just less ****ish
