Dont be too down lads your manager and players have long term (4 and 5) year contracts im sure TC can turn it around by then

Just back from the game. Feel sorry for TC tonight...he set us up well and all was going exactly to plan until for some reason the players let him down. We were in a position of authority at 1-0 and then for some totally unexplainable reason the right side of the team decided to go missing. We were playing an orthodox 4-4-2 with a very narrow back four which was very effective. From corners we defended with a mixture of zonal and man for man and it worked well. Where I would criticize him though is straight after the total unjust penalty award he changed us to route one and left us with no discernable shape. There was still plenty of time and a more considered approach would have had more chance in us forcing an equalizer in my opinion. No one likes a defeat, especially when it's the second one in 5 days but Vieria was top class and Siaz is different class. Do I think we will finish in the play offs ?...probably not. Is that reason enough to sack TC at this stage ?...no definitely not. Will he get the sack if we lose to Brentford ?...hopefully not. We are not too far away from being a good side so don't press the panic button. New owner, new players, new philosophy, which means calm heads and ride out the bad times, which will make the successes when they come even more sweet !
You weren't too far away last season, a couple of players maybe - but now you're miles off. You miss Taylor at left back bIg time & without Bartley your defense is a shambles - Jansson nowhere near as good without him. Should have kept Green as he is far better than the 2 you are left with. Replaced Wood with a fat German that might get better if he lost 3 stone. Got rid of Bridcutt but kept the woeful duo of Phillips and O'Kane. You have a clueless manager that gets told what to do by a clueless DOF. Look at Derby's 1st goal - counter attack made to look very simple because your midfield has no pace!!
Beg to differ on some points. Bartley is slow, only good at defending airily. Anything on the ground and he was found wanting. Our German striker is slow...that is just a fact. He is however one hell of a finisher one on one. Losing weight will not make him quicker just hungrier !
I can't be bothered to look up to see how many times Taylor started at left back last season but I don't think it was the majority of the time? However I for one don't miss the moaning whinger. Glad to see he's well respected at Turdley.
David Hockaday is currently in charge of male football at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College Cellino could pick em
I think the point being made is we would be a better side with taylor included.we have replaced good with average or young loans.we are a weaker side than last season.
I have to bow to your first hand view of the game. But from what I have seen live we are at least 7 players away from having a good first 11, and 15 playes away from a good squad. The coach is totally useless, the DOF role is never going to work and Rad had lumbered us with it by tying us to all the mediocre players by giving them four year contracts. In short we are a complete mess. I cant see Saiz staying and we have nothing to build around. A good team would not have Felix as a keeper, Lasogga as a striker, Alioski as anything. Whoever scouted them needs to go. We need to go right back to basics and apply the principles of grit and battling to get out of this league. We are further away from what we need than at any point since 2010 with this set of cheap inports and over rated homegrown lightweights.
Agree with all of this - great assessment as ever. We are hurting and I am sure the players are. I think the route one thing shows their desperation. This feels a bit like the year after we were the last true champions before the advent of the greed is good League when we could hardly buy a point away. We knew and sensed the players knew, as soon as we went behind we were beaten. I don’t think we were special last night but I do think we should have won, with either penalty decision changed or Lasogga tucking away the sitter. All the evidence is loading Glory’s gun at the moment but it could have been different easily - if Klich doesn’t fall over in possession against Cardiff, if Alioski scores against Wednesday, if we take our couple of chances against Reading, if Saiz’s shot hits the inside of the post and goes in against Sheffield United instead of coming straight back out. Lots of deliberate ifs but my point is, that is a lot of points and a huge factor with confidence. Certainly not saying we deserved to win all of those games but don’t recognise this team from the one playing with swagger six weeks ago or one that can smash a hard to beat Bristol City out of the blue. Good post for the sake of the forum this Jammy because reading the glee at our demise has been worse than seeing it with my own eyes.
We were playing the weakest teams in the division six weeks ago, and the bed wetters would not be told that our league position was false. I bet they are listening now. Or perhaps not. We are losing because we are gutless, have only one quality player and two grafters and one of thise seems to be on strike.
