The perils of social media. It's disgusting what was said to Lovren and in all likelihood it's an empty threat just some idiot sounding off. As a refugee Lovren probably has taken it harder than another player may have as he's actually been in real fear for his life.

Remember when any player that was accused of making racist remarks at home or abroad the BBC football hacks used to always add at the end of their articles the Luis Suarez/Evra diatribe?
Well strangely enough and even though Rooney, Gerrard, Welbeck, P Neville and others have received death threats in recent years it's not added Suarez style at the bottom of the Lovren article....not surprising really.

 

TBF that's because most of those threats were being made by #bbcsalford in the first place

Also try searching "manager" instead of "player", on more than one occasion a #bbcsalford van pulled up outside Moyes' house and threw bricks at his windows

 

#bbcsalford are also the only media site not describing the nature of Deeney's "violent conduct" since saying it was an eye gouge would remind people of Mourinho doing that against Vilanova

 

Yeh they couldn't wait to trot that out. I think lots of players and celebrities - I use the word loosely - have all had similar threats. Most of the hard-nosed can handle it but really why should they have to. Report it and things may change ........ or not.

Lovren is an average to poor defender currently and had a really **** game, but you say that and that's where it ends

 

The Lovren article should be left as it is, if the beeb open it up for comments get the tin hat on and batten down the hatches, we'll get slaughtered by stereotypical bullshit.

We spend £150m in the summer after a decent season and getting into Europe.

We're all looking forward to the season, and then we're completely wretched land in the bottom 3 after 10 games and sack the manager

What's wrong is that we didn't replace Lukaku mate, that's the major issue at the club, we've not got a striker with any real PL experience and we're therefore toothless. A terrible state of affairs given it was obvious he was going from the turn of the year at least.

Now we're highly likely to panic and bring in some completely uninspiring manager with the brief of keeping us up ffs.

 

It's the main story on the beeb Tobes, it's NOT the main story on Sky Sports and NOT the main story in the tabloids(including the manc loving Daily Fail), anything negative about LFC always gets top billing by the Salford BBC chaps, you know that Tobes.

Bring someone with #ambition in. The league is a write off but anyone half decent should easily get you midtable anyway. So make the main priority salvaging the EL and FA cups.
