I don't think you'd get Mahrez for £40m and Ox was partly bought for homegrown reasons & versatility, I'd guess. Plus he's a proper athlete, suits our pressing game more.

There are serious dressing room problems there, when you see them play they are nothing like the team of the last 2 seasons.

Always dressing room issues with that team last few years.. . Manager almost doesn't matter.

Yeah...bale was one attempt that clearly failed. On one hand it worked because Ronaldo stepped it up even more that year but ....it also pissed him off.

It's hard because he's a freak ...he keeps looking strong

But...sometimes you feel it's hurt them as a team .....which still sounds ridiculous since he bangs in the goals on multiple fronts and they still look like the big threat.. .

Bale is a non-entity at Madrid, he has been injured for more games than he has played, just another Darren Anderton.
Because of politics (who will be the next president) Madrid have to buy the current big name regardless of the managers wishes or if he will fit the team, then when they have a name that does fit the balance of power goes to the player and the manager has to make do.

 

Similar to teams that sack their managers straight after winning the FA cup; classless

The fact is they probably have just an outcome over-the-top and are now on their way down. A lot of questions on legs and will there.

Ronaldo is 32, his form has been poor so far this year.
Ramos is 31
Marcello is 29 but has a lot of miles on the clock
As you said bale is out half the time.

It's not as bad as a lot of clubs but it seems to be affecting them cos Ronaldo is off sorts.

 

Bale is a pony. He ws injured at Spurs with back and he is all about running. The contradt to ronaldo is ronaldo is lethal and technically gets the ball on target.

Bale is constantly injured and as such his best attributes go missing.

If I were real I would hock him to Utd for 250mil

 

I reckon he will go to Utd, and despite his Anderton syndrome with injuries be a top player for them.

It's the fact that Rashford runs that left channel. I reckon Mourinho would love bale in the right channel.

 

He'd prefer to shackle him in his own half. Can't go doing too much of that attacking business.

Maybe Mourinho can turn him around. Even at 28 there's time to fulfil that early promise....especially in a 6 man back line.
