Having a consensus position on the matter ASAP, whether
that includes intervention or not, would be a start.

They don't actually know what's going on. They watch Fox, listen to Rush Limbaugh and read Breitbart.

This was a party political broadcast on behalf of ISIS. Er, I mean... the NRA. That's the one.

  6. Easy mistake to make. Ones an extreme, fundamentalist totalitarian regime and the other is ISIS!! <laugh>

So the Tories have kept a list of their own MPs' dubious sexual behaviour, apparently.
Who thought that was a good idea? I assume that the police will be along any minute to go through it with them. Or, you know, not.
    Here's the redacted list:

    Video exists of... what, exactly?
I wonder what the entirely blank entries might be? Doesn't look good, does it?

So what's new? Harold Wilson and Marcia Williams, Cecil Parkinson and Sarah Keys, Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinski., George Bush Snr, still groping women whilst in his wheel chair, bet he had a colourful Presidency.

Henry Kissenger once said 'power is the most powerful aphrodisiac in the world'. He's not far wrong.

It is going to happen, it's the way of the world.perhaps we should take the French view where if a parliamentarian doesn't have a mistress, there's something wrong with him and he can't be trusted.

Bet Michael Gove is the one who uses prostitutes and Philip Hammond is the one who asks female researches to do odd things.

50/50 between Damien Green and Jeremy Hunt for the one who's intoxicated all of the time. Damien Green looks intoxicated all of the time but Jeremy Hunt is never seen and when he does come up with an idea, you'd have to be shot away even to consider it.

As an aside, when I worked for London Underground, we were frequently drug and alcohol screened. Surely, any person with a job as important as a Member of Parliament should undergo the same scrutiny.

That's because it was kept quiet, I never heard of it. Now might be a good time to have another pot at it. If someone could get on national TV to promote it then I think that there is a fair chance it would get enough votes to be debated. It needs to include alcohol as well as drugs.

I'd love to hear what the objections would be.
Medical conditions, privacy issues, quality of life interference... All things that don't apply to plebs, of course.

Former Trump Campaign Manager, Paul Manafort, has been ordered to surrender to the FBI and has complied, apparently.
He and his business partner face various charges related to the Russia investigation and money laundering, it's alleged.

This comes as a surprise to absolutely ****ing nobody, except those that exclusively get their news from right-wing fruitcakes.
Even papers like the Fail and Express saw this coming.
The guy's CV reads like a Who's Who? of ****ty dictators and criminals, FFS.
Ferdinand Marcos, Mobutu Sese Seko, Viktor Yanukovych, Ronald Reagan... they're all there.

A may have brought that one up once or twice...

In other news, what is it with International Trade Ministers? First we have one posting ignorant tweets about German kebabs, now we have one sending their assistant to buy a couple of vibrators.

I would expect all party leaders to back it, they would have to, but it would go to a free vote and be voted out.

What medical condition requires half bottle of Whisky and a gram of coke for breakfast? If there is one I'd like to suffer from it. As for privacy, if the person responsible for the funding of the NHS had a drink or drug problem it should not be swept under the carpet. Quality of life? How does being pissed at work improve the quality of ones life?

There aren't any actual arguments against it, so they'd have to come up with something! <laugh>
I think the quality of my life would improve dramatically, if I could just go on the piss instead of working whenever I felt like it.
The quality of my work probably wouldn't improve much, though.
