Watched the second half, Everton just didn't look like scoring. Its going to be a long, hard season for them

They were much better second half too <laugh>

Relegation candidates unless they can buy a decent striker in january....which they surely will do!

Absolutely, and if Massey had been the lino at that end I have no doubt she'd have flagged for it. Still, that pain in the arse Leicester fan who constantly rings up 5 Live about how badly done to they are, and all the pens they should have might be singing a different tune this evening.

Everton were bloody awful, never looked like scoring. The managers job will be a bit of a poisoned chalice for whoever takes it. Best they can do is probably lower half of the table, at worst relegation. EFC will have to promise a big bonus for staying up, bring on Big Sam!

Yeah I think they need on Jan one to put 50mil on someone table to get a striker.

They really opened up today but the same no threat up top did for them.

Never. There's three worse teams in that league than everton, easily. Plus, Everton have played all the Top six except us, haven't they? Going to be a crap season though, there's no glossing over that.

The ship is steady. At the bottom of the Mersey. At low tide Moshiri can still see the mast from the Liver building.

Suppose it comes down to who is more prepared to scrap for all the points they can get, which clubs are used to going on a run of wins when the time comes.
Frankly Swansea have been appalling for a number of years (as were Sunderland and Aston Villa before they got relegated) yet they have been able to stave off relegation by picking up points when it matters probably at the expense of clubs that had better squads and would have thought they were safe at the start of the season.

In other words, no club is 'Too good to go down'

Suicidal first half tactics for a visit to kick and rush Leicester. <doh>

If that ****house Marriner does his job we go in at HT 2-1 though and it makes for a much more nervous Leicester 2nd half.

One thing struck me today - if you were REALLY determined to chuck £40m away on the last day of the transfer window, would you go for Chamberlain or Mahrez?

    Shocker yes.

I thought it'd end worse so at least they pulled something together.

Tbh I can't see much improvement between now and January. I thought unsworth even had gueye way up the park so I can't even see where a clean sheet is coming right now

For me palace are in the ****. No goals. Flood at the back.

Bournemouth look very inconsistent but are similar. They are struggling.

Swansea have gone form and not much else.

Everton need a run of form. They need two holders in front of that bloody slow back line and if they are playing two wingers they NEED someone in the box to score.

We need a top quality striker, it's therefore a struggle until we manage to sign one.

I don't agree about playing with 2 holding, he just need the holding player to hold, and that didn't happen first half today.

One of Evertons problems seems to be the back line, except for Kenny, have lost their pace all at the same time. Williams and Jagielka are so slow it is hard to believe they are still playing in the Prem. At least John Terry knew his time was up so retired to the lower leagues where experience can help a slow defender, in the the Prem there is no such thing.

More than anything else, Everton need a fast front man. God knows who though midway through a season.....I guess we'll see just how serious the new owner is very soon but making an offer is one thing, having them accept to come to a struggling team is something totally different.

But get a decent front man and a bit of pace and there is enough quality to pull through this in the new year.

Big Sam has always wanted a chance with real money.....surely this is his chance?

Last season or so Everton would never even consider Allardyce, but now they might need him and would then be stuck with him for a few years. What a depressing outlook for them.

    Shame
