We absolutely have that kind of money. Everyone in the PL does. We're apparently debt-free and had revenues in the 150m range last year, and moving on some of the underperforming vets would free up cash.

Also, 6th simply isn't going to happen this year. 8th would be a minor miracle, but we're probably a mid-table side. We have had the easiest schedule in the league, and we have three wins in ten.

    ???

its a tiny portion of the match they switch and they seem to create as many chances in that tiny portion than the rest of the match combined. its a massive issue.

I'm gonna say it again cos it sums us up.

    Bang. ****ing. Average.

People won't like it but I genuinely feel it's not exaggerating to say that the second half was nothing short of appalling.

Nah, not having that. A share of the blame perhaps. But MP is so scared to push forward. He encourages side ways and backwards passing.

Knockaert is the only one who is good and I'd happily have at Saints. They play well as a team, which we cant seem to do for the life of us.

We are playing the exact same as we did under Puel 2nd half of the season. As I said, two managers don't play the same way. So you have to look at the things that stayed the same.

I like the Groz guy or whatever his hame is. 5 assists in 7 games is good form. Also liked their big ass striker

Oh come on Beef, Murray is 100 and nowhere near the quality of Gabbi. I even think Knockaert is only as good as an on form Tadic. March is a decent player, but no better than what we have.

I am thinking that some players are lacking in confidence and self belief, not lacking in ability. MoPo2 has to find a way of convincing them that they are better than what they are showing. Lack of a convincing strike force is damaging and must be rectified in the next Wndow, until then we have to bide our time and welcome results if and when they come. :emoticon-0133-wait::emoticon-0138-think

Which unfortunately is fairly irrelevant when you consider that we're ten games in, and Man Utd at home is the only game we've had against any of the big six.

At the start of the season, I said we should be on the very fringes of the top four, if not inside the top four, after the home game against Burnley (which of course is our next match). Not because we're good enough to finish in that position, absolutely not; but because our start to the season was so nice. 22 points, a two-point-per-game average.

It's one thing having a barren November and December if we start off in, say, 5th. It's quite another if we start off in, say, 13th. Which if we lose to Burnley, is quite possibly where we will be.

A few over reactions when Brighton scored, but other than that just opinions as far as I can see. Easy to start labeling, but I want quotes. <ok>

On a positive note, the Amex is a lovely stadium for a new build. 100x better than St Marys.

    Kinda jealous tbh.

I would have Groz and Izquierdo in our squad anyday.

Gabbiadini is the only attacking player I rate as a class above

Or you could listen to how Pellegrino said at the start of the season how he would try and play the same way as Puel, only improving the link up play.
Thats certainly what Sims said. but even when he's fit he wouldn't be an automatic return, he's going to have to work his way back to selection. Hesketh should be back sooner though.

Indeed. We've been saying - quite rightly - over the past eight years, as we rose up the leagues, how much better Rickie is compared to Murray. He's a head on a stick, nothing more.

It just goes to show that you don't need to be a team full of Hazard's, Aguero's and Coutinho's.

Agree with your assessment of Tadic. I think, along with Davis, he's become the scapegoat for a lot of indifferent performances, but he is still consistently our most creative player and I certainly wouldn't drop him.

I think a lot of the problems we have as a team stem from a lack of confidence. A win today would have gone a long way to changing that, so throwing away a game that was there for the taking is doubly galling. I don't know why we stopped playing after we scored; I can't really believe that was the plan, to score one and then defend.

As for Forster...well, I can't defend him any more. It's not his fault our LB is a munchkin, but my mum could have kept that header out, and it's hardly a one-off. It's unfair to say he cost us the game though, because at 1-0 we should have been looking to put them to the sword, not going into our shells.
