Yep, he should have started X/subbed Y is all fair. I just detect a bit more anti-MP2 feeling brewing, and we are about to play a lot of loseable games. It could all get a little bit silly.

Weird that presumption that Pellegrino has anything much to do with the recruitment of Hoedt and Lemina. That’s not how our club works.

Seriously? A clear out? And where’s the money coming from to sign all these “exciting” players?
We don’t have that kind of money, so we have to make do with what we can get. I believe one or two players would make the difference, but we’ll be around 6th to 10th at best.

I can't see why Steve Davis gets knocked in these threads as he one of the first names I would put on the team sheet. I don't feel there is a great deal wrong with the defence at the moment but the forward line needs to be radically rebuilt. I would keep Gabbi and Long but the latter only as an impact player. The midfield looks decent with Davis, Romeu and Lemina but we need someone in there who is going to create goals. Boufal probably needs a run of games before a proper judgement can be made. Tadic, I agree, is erratic yet I am constantly staggered by the hostility towards him. For me, it is the likes of JWP who needs to be moved on as he just doesn't seem to step up the quality anticipated from him. I would also drop Forster as he needs competition.

Sorry Beef but I don't buy this.

I've criticised our recent transfer dealings as much as (if not more than) anyone on here but MP didn't seem to have a clue how to change things today.

It was painfully obvious to anyone with a brain that we were being overrun from around the 50th minute today but he waited, what twenty odd minutes to change it? Even then it was like for like rather than a tactic/shape change.

Yes, the board have let the managers down in the past two summers, but to be perfectly ****ing frank the attacking players we do have at the club are better than what's being shown so far for me.

How far off is Sims from being match fit?

Truth is both Tadic and Redmond play on either wing. They swap, often during a match. They just start in their controversial positions. But they aren't pinned there.

Well, I think we will cash in on VVD in January and this money will be used to enhance the squad.

We have Prowse and Redmond who are both right wingers. along with Davis and Boufal as AM's. Right now any of which i would rather have in those positions than Tadic(especially Prowse on the right) Again, can't think of a time when Redmond didn't played LW or ST in a formation without LW. so if Tadic did play there it was certainly an odd one off. Was never given a change to regain form for sure.

I'm not saying its all Pellegrino, i dont think the players suit him, but i don't blame the players either.

Playing the same attacking players time after time even if they play **** is the real problem. Lack of depth means we can't rotate, which means players have no competition. Which means players don't have to try.

I blame the board and the players. Puel and Pellegrino have been given a rough hand

It all does seem a bit deja view. Guess it is all about expectations, we sit ninth with a dullish but reasonably effective team (similar to last season), but patience seems to be a thing of the past. Hopefully WE ALL give this manager a decent chance, the best solution is rarely to get rid so soon.

Change tactics to suit the squad then <ok>

I maintain that despite our failures in the window, almost half the sides in the league would love our options we have attacking wise.

Do Brighton have better players than us? Cos they looked a lot more ****ing dangerous from open play than us.
